If the Raiders select McFadden w/ #4, would you pick up the phone and see what we could trade for him? He would be stuck behind McFadden & Fargas. L. Jordan I'm sure we'll be either traded or released if they pick Dmac.

They got him with a 4th last year (1st overall in that round), so maybe we offer them a 3rd this year and a late round pick next year. He's suppose to be 100% healthy, and was a sure fire top 15 pick if not for his leg injury. He was just on Sirus about an hour ago, and said he's been healthy since week 5 of last season.

Personally, I would love to have him as the backup to Barber.

Tempting, but I think they keep him and either trade or drop LaMont Jordan & Dominic Rhodes if they go with McFadden.

I would rather have Felix @ 28.

I'm thinking Rhodes or Jordan would be the one on the chopping block.

Well they would be getting better value than what they paid. If we had a third string running back on this team, that someone offered a 3rd and a pick next year, wouldn't you think about trading him?

In a RB deep draft like this, unproven players aren't worth much in terms of 08 draft picks. Bush hasn't done anything in the league and is coming off an injury. I would rather keep my 3rd and pick up someone like a Matt Forte or Choice. Bush isn't worth even a 4th in my books.

no, I wouldnt...he's a huge injury risk...he has no value whatsoever right now

I cant understand why anyone would want to trade for someone's scabs when a draft is so loaded with quality backs

Besides Dmac, there isn't a back in this class that is as talented as Bush.

I'd be willing to bet your in the minority here with that comment. There are alot of quality backs in this draft, but as far as pure talent goes, not too many match up to what Bush brings to the table.

Exactly how do you know what Bush can bring to the table?

I was saying talent wise.

I'm not going to go find any others because it isnt worth the time, but here is PFW's summary of him last yr:

"a finesse big man who played in a rotation and has never shown he can be a bellcow back. Injury history and work ethic issues could be difficult to overcome. If he can return to full health and cut considerable weight he could be a very solid pro, but if the past is any indicator he will struggle to stay healthy and control his weight in the NFL. Needs to be close to 230lbs to be at his best.

Negative- not a great worker and does not condition his body, smooth muscled and looks like he has never seen a weight room.Does not have great lateral quickness and plays in an offense that features wide running lanes that gave him space to run. Lacks long speed. Short stepper. Runs too narrow based an is not overly powerful. Needs to take better care of the football.

Sorry, this is just not that impressive..there's probably any of 10-12 guys I'd rather have in this draft, at the least.

Nope, didnt forget...just does nothing for me at all...especially with the injury, weight and work ethic issues

Well his weight is at 223 right now and during his interview, it sounded like the work ethic issue is a thing of the past.

You're out of your mind. I liked him in college, but to say only McFadden is better on a pure talent level is absurd. Mendenhall and Stewart are both amazingly talented players, and I'd say there's a few others that I'd rather have then him also. Had Bush been in this years draft and not last years, he'd been more likely a 5th rounder.

I think that the deal the Raiders signed with Fargus is a one year thing. They may be able to release Fargus with much less pain then anybody realizes. I heard something about this mentioned earlier this morning on Path to the Draft.
