Michael Gallup a bright spot

Michael Gallup hauled in 3-of-5 targets for a team-high 81 yards and one score in Dallas' Week 7 loss to the Commanders.

With Tavon Austin inactive, Gallup was afforded additional opportunity and delivered with a team- and career-high 81 receiving yards. 49 yards came on a deep-ball over the top in which Gallup simply beat the defense and found himself wide open near the sideline. Dallas' leading receiver seems to rotate weekly, but this is a great development for the rookie in the event Austin misses any further time. The Cowboys are on bye next week.
