2019
7 games
33 Receptions
530 yards
3TDs

2018
16 games
33 Rec
507 yards
2TDs

Gallup has more receiving yards in 7 games compared to his entire rookie season. He has also caught 1 more touchdown than he did a year ago in 16 games.

Gallup is having a fantastic year and it is nice to see that he has progressed so much in a short amount of time.

No sophomore slump for Gallup.

Who would have thought in his second season a WR showing promise in his first year would improve ;)

My only criticism is that he still occasionally seems on a different page than Dak. I'm guessing that since Dak had such an immediate connection with Cooper and Cobb that the miscommunication is on Gallup and not Dak.

But yeah, he's a playmaker and one of the players I expect big things from when he touches the ball. Should have a bright career ahead of him

He’s not having expected year so far, very bumpy season. Still makes plays, but it’s 50% he’ll make them. Hoping he warms up to get a groove,he’s dangerous.

Great pull, the guy is a stud...even better opposite Coop.

Gallup should be a lesson in evaluating draft picks based on immediate readiness.

I said before that draft that the only significant difference between Gallup and Calvin Ridley (1st round, Atlanta) was that Ridley was about a year ahead of Gallup in terms of development in college. My take was the Gallup would be a 1st round pick if he played another year of college football.

Gallup ended up more ready than even I expected as a rookie and now is a solid NFL WR that still have more upside.

My take is that teams tend to over-focus on the ready-now aspect of players despite many scouts seeing players like Gallup with more realistic upside than some 1st round picks. By realistic upside I mean a high probability of actually reaching their upside. I'm not referring to boom/bust freak athlete type upside.
The real lesson should be to not worry about 40 times and metrics and just go with production and what you see on the field.

Huge upgrade of Terrance Williams
I don't know about Gallup being a huge upgrade over T-Will. Terrance was pretty good at times, showed up and made clutch catches during key moments and was arguably the best blocking WR on the team bar none during his time in Dallas.

The FO has done an excellent job drafting over the past 6 years or so. Starting with Tyrson Smith honestly. I like Gallup, I hope he sticks around.

Agree with this, but that's why Ridley went after Moore.

I think fans also kind of lose perspective on what teams think of players just because of where they get drafted. Moore and Ridley both went in the first round, but neither was really a first-round type player. I mean, where would they go this year, the third? Teams know that too, and are well aware that they might select a guy with a 2nd-round grade in the first.

Once he gains more experience in the league along with chemistry with Dak, he's also going to be a disaster for opposing teams to handle. If we get Coop resigned along with Dak, we're going to have one of the best WR duos in the league. The chemistry is undeniable.

Dak has another year under his belt, Cooper has a full season with the cowboys, and his own development contribute to this success.
