Michael Irvin accused of sexual harassment

I feel nothing but sadness for Mike Irvin..he is just another victim of this new trend of trying to extort money or short term celebrity by making accusations that,in fact, don't have to be proved and have no consequences for the creatures that make that. Elliott comes to mind and many others.

I don't.
Mike is a full grown man with money, charisma, a good job and common sense.
He keeps getting into situations because he can't stop chasing women. Period.
It's not like he is unaware he has been affiliated with womanizing for 20+ years.
Stop being alone in hotel rooms with women who are not your wife.

Why? Accusing people of sexual assault is like the hottest trend right now.

How many have been false?
For the most part these are true stories just getting out now as people feel emboldened.
A lot of these allegations have been admitted to.

The handful of false reporters should be fully charged with serious crimes.
But there are have been a whole lot more accusations proven totally true and the victims made not one red cent.

Why? Accusing people of sexual assault is like the hottest trend right now.

Exactly, it is a broad brush where it gets tried in the court of public opinion, where the accuser has to prove nothing and the "suspect" has to prove everything. The investigations that companies do are so slanted that if there is even an iota of doubt the accused is guilty regardless of the evidence or lack there of. Better to fire an accused sexual harrasser/assaulter than fire an alleged victim.

The issue is the media and #metoo have somehow folded actual sexual assault and harrassment into all of it being Weinstein or Lauer levels. It is very possible that an off color joke was heard, or off color compliment was made but to try and lump people into the deviancy of a harvey Weinstein is what is the issue. The way the #metoo movement has grown to the point where every man is a predator like Weinstein and Lauer.

I just watched Chappelle (saw him Live too) and can see both sides but the allegations I've heard thus far haven't been average hitting on women stuff or flirtatious even. It's been pretty crazy stuff no man should do.

Dudes just working themselves in front of women? Come on.
At the same time the RB at OU that was flat lied on? That chick should be in jail not going into the Navy.

I have read articles that most of the stuff being brought out not leveled at lauer, weinstein and few others would not register a blip as harrassment but as inappropriate. The is movement while probably warranted has started to pick up momentum and the course it takes could very well take down a lot of people whether warranted or not.
