I would think that anybody who actually appreciates the game of football, regardless of who they root for, would love it.

That speech was awesome, he just was such a competitor but to stand up there and give all the praise to his supporting cast was remarkable. That last part of the speech gave me chills!!

Irvin will always be one of my favorite Dallas Cowboys of all time! #88

I especially love his entrance to the football field in "The Longest Yard"...

Best speech I have ever heard at the Hall. Hands down. Not a dry eye at the Hall and not a dry eye at my house.

My wife didn't even know who he was, or what was going on. She stopped what she was doing and sat through it all.

Just amazing.

Yeah man, it had a house full of college bros all wiping their eyes.

Irvin showed a lot of humility that night, total 180 from his typical Playmaker persona - truly knew he had come full circle that night.

The realest HOF speech i've ever heard. Irvin had is troubles off the field but no one ever questioned his love of football and his desire to win.

I made sure my teenage sons listened to that. Amazing speech.

I don't even think he had notes, but he wasn't ad-libbing. I think the whole speech was pretty much memorized.

Not just one of the greatest HOF speeches--really one of the greatest speeches period that I have ever seen. I love it and replay it for myself every couple of years and let my wife laugh at me for crying every time.

I play it too often, when I'm down, or feeling shaken or feeling like I cant be as strong as a father as I want to. Then I look at Mike, cry and know everything gonna be alright.

Greatest HOF speech by far. If you ever read the book "Boys Will Be Boys", it starts with the scissor stabbing incident, but ends with this. Michael was the Cowboys. I thought the way the book started, and ended was showing how a bunch of wild young men grew up, and became better people. Was mad reading most of it, but the end with this speech made me feel better about it.

Always gets to me when I see him address Sandy Irvin. Such a beautiful woman, and he put her through so much. But she stood by. Such a great woman.
