There is no college football team with such a great and loyal alumni base.

The Playmaker is in great shape, has a full head of hair, suffers not from CTE and is reliving his youth.

If you are a current Hurricane player, having a great, enthusiastic Hall of Famer around you is inspiring.

Going back to Tom Landry's awful drafting in the 1980's, his last hurrah was for the ages, drafting Irvin #1 and then LB Ken Norton in the 2nd round.

.....and he's been waiting so long to inject his enthusiasm onto this team.

So you aren't buying that "Jerry Jones knew he was going to buy the Cowboys and hire Jimmy Johnson and told the Cowboys Jimmy wanted Michael Irvin" story?

Get a like just for referencing the NY Post.

He was probably coked up and flirting with anything wearing tight jeans. Atta boy, Mike!!!

No, I do not believe that story. It really is irrelevant.

Jimmy was worried that Irvin's 4.56 timed 40 speed would push him down the draft board ( he actually ran faster than that when he was playing on the field. After he recovered from his Oct 1989 ACL tear, he rehabbed and got down to a 4.52. Still, Deion Sanders could never cover him).

Boys needed another WR in 1988 because former # 1, skinny, unmuscular Mike Sherrard kept breaking bones. It had nothing to do with Jimmy coming. Landry still thought he could turn the team around and his Irvin and Norton selections, 1, 2 in 1988, helped Jimmy start building with two cornerstones.

Hmmm, I thought Ken Norton came over from the 49'ers?
