I just finished watching the most amazing piece on Michael Irvin. From his father throwing him the ball every night after working from sunup to sundown. His father's dying wish, when Michael was still in High School, to promise him that Michael would take care of his mother. While attending Univ. of Miami to all of his days with the Cowboys...every touchdown, when he would point up in the air, when most everyone would think that he was saying "Look at me, I'm #1..", he was actually pointing up to his father, and saying "Dad...this is for you..."
Michael was indeed the Soul of the Cowboys. When he came back from his 5 game suspension after his cocaine possession plea deal, he said that he had lost his feeling of "Invincibility", and after that neither he or the Cowboys were ever the same after that. But his story does not end there, and if you all get the chance to see this piece on him, it has to be one of the most positive uplifting story's about him, his life and career.
I was born in Dallas when the Cowboys first became a NFL franchise, and I've seen them all play...from Bullet Bob to Marion The Barbarian and everyone in between. I have never been so proud to be born and raised a Cowboy Fan than what I am today and now....
Thank you Michael
