Watching Irvin last night on the NFL Network rant after the Cowboys lost made me quiver inside. This guy shows so much passion for this organization, and he can't hide it no matter what. He was really jacked after that game last night. What a real Cowboy.

I almost wish we could have someone with the passion he has as a head coach. He spoke today about how he wasn't perfect off the field, but no-one will ever find a game, or even one play in a game on film where he didn't give 110%. I wish we had another Irvin!

Agreed.

What I really like about Michael Irvin is that when he talks about the Cowboys he uses the word "We".

I became a Cowboy fan after watching him play, and he continues to be my favorite to wear the star.

him and emmitt and aikman truely love the cowboys. that's why they all cried in their retirement press conferences.

it truly makes me sad that we don't have a single player on this team with his heart. not one.

This guy I could sit all day listening to him no matter what topic he discusses.

One of the smartest, most interesting and exciting people on TV.

Even today talking about the decision on nfl network

My favorite all-time player.

If he really wants the franchise to turn around, he needs to let Jerry have it in public.

Could you imagine if he were still a part of this team? Say as the WR coach?

It wouldn't matter to him if he were the WR coach....he'd be coaching the entire team play after play.

I'd LOVE to see that....he wouldn't let ANYONE take time off during a game OR practice.

I think he could instantly make this team better just because of his leadership ability.

He said today on the NFL Network, that he tarnished the star through his off field actions, but said that he left it all on the field and NOBODY could say different.

We don't have those types of players on this team, and if we do, we haven't been seeing it....especially this recent past.

nobody on this team cares about protecting the star. they probably laugh at the notion. that's why our opponents continually disrespect every year for seemingly the past decade.

If you want a coach who will take some clippers after a player Mike is your guy. :)

In all seriousness, Mike demanded people walk the friggin walk. He was the heart behind those great teams. The dynasty died when he was injured.

I'd love it if they gave him a coaching opportunity. I would love to have the connection to the older players.
