Listening to Mike and Mike discuss this today. Are there any bigger liars than golfers talking about their handicap? Yeah maybe Michael's a 1 handicapper at the local muni where the longest par 4 is 325. I have a feeling Michael doesn't play at the local muni though.
I've seen Jordan's swing, and unless he's the greatest putter since Ben Crenshaw, he ain't no better than about a six handicap, probably more like a nine or ten... he's the kind of guy who can put up a 73 or 74 on a reasonably tough golf course, then turn around the next day and shoot an 82 or 83...
His swing's what we call "loose", with a lot more moving parts than it really needs... this means that he has to be VERY on his game to keep the ball moving in more or less the direction he intends... there is a small margin for error with swings like that...
