He did miss preseason game due to virus. It was in the Montreal Gazette I am sure but I'm not going to search for it, you can do that.

I didn't say it was HIV just that it was my first thought when it was stated

Why is this news? The CFL is not the NFL for one. Sam has never played a down in the NFL. He's terrible. Everything he did was planned. He knew he would never make it in the pros so he wants his 15 minutes of fame. The sooner he vanishes from the news the better.

Sams resume just seem a lot more impressive so why not take a flier in him with a 7th.

The scouts said from the beginning that he had the size of a LB but he had below average athleticism for a DL. He never was going to fit a as a 4-3 strong side end at his size. The guy that beat out Sam should have been the one drafted, Ethan Westbrooks.
