Strahan was on the Dan Patrick show this morning and talked about guys that played against Allen and got "Allenitis" meaning, they'd come out of the game after getting the SNOT kicked out of them with a 'hip injury' or a 'back injury' or ANY injury rather than getting abused more from Larry. God I miss him.....I sometimes still dream of him and Erik Williams annihilating people.:(

BTW: any young Cowboys fans that never saw that line play NEED to order the old DVD's from that time: it was poetry in motion. Tui, Nate, E', Larry and Step.....just poetry I tell you.

I agree, and if Erik had not been in the car accident they would have been even better. I loved watching him manhandle Reggie White every time they played.

yea that was nice and all in the earlier years but later on he was a liability in the running game and was getting pro bowl selections off pure reputation.

If you go back and look, you will find that from 1997-2002, many DTs would be on the injury list the week they played the Cowboys- but not before or after.

If I were picking anyone to be an OG for my team, Allen would be it. I would take him over Hannah though they are biproducts of different eras. Hannah wouldn't be big enough these days, but he was absolutely dominant for his time.

That's why I'm ready for a fresh face to coach up the OL.

Houck's success is tied to being a coach on one of the most talented teams in football history.

....you sound ignorant with a comment like this. Dude is a hall of famer. Munoz, Hannah, and a plethora of other great olinemen in the league's history made pro bowls they shouldn't have later in their careers. Thanks for the feedback captain obvious.

I like how Rocket falls over him at the end.

Yep... he DOMINATED White... and that didn't happen too often in the NFL...

I remember one game where Reggie really got out fast on an outside speed rush. Williams slammed him to the ground with one arm...

That's so incredibly unfathomable, I thought me putting up 225 a few times was impressive. Especially considering he's got very long arms.

I wonder how many times he repped 225 at the combine.

Over 50 when he did it at one of those goofball competition events (like the ones that have pro bowl QBs hitting targets and stuff).

Dunno about combine, might have done less then.

Reggie White had his way with Allen very early in his career... there is a pretty famous video of him swim moving Allen like a rubber ducky. But Larry was still learning, and Reggie was won of the best ever... so no shame there.

Good times, good times !

I've never seen that video of him running down the linebacker. Makes me think we could have put him at RB!

I will never forget Allen de-cleating Greg Lloyd in the Super Bowl...one of my favorite memories...
