People tend to forget that the Roman Empire, the Persian Empire and most recently, the English Empire, were real things.... real things that no longer exist. I'm guessing that the people who were living in those places in their heyday never thought it would end either.
It's The British Empire and it's still going strong, it's just shrunk a bit.

Talk to me about being tough when you've lived through something like the Cuban missile crisis and grown up facing being forced to fight in the jungles of Vietnam.

How would anyone older than 50 know what the blazes they're saying?

I’m 52 and I knew exactly what they were saying. Lol! Actually a good insult by Thomas. Knew JL only played 8 plays and brought up his rookie contract. Knowing that the big pay day is usually the 2nd contract. They prob like each other...talking smack is part of the banter.

For the unseasoned:

Jourdan Lewis: That gentleman Michael Thomas appears to be upset that he was unable to separate from Chido and Byron.

Thomas: you have been playing for two years and only come in to cover rb’s, I dont think that is typical cornerback behavior. My advice is to save your money.
:lmao:

It is pretty straight forward but I must honestly admit I did not know for a few seconds why Lewis said Awusie and Jones had strapped the Department of Energy.

Just type 'though' instead of 'doe'. It is only three extra freaking letters.

Yeah. I am getting old. :(:p
Or at least type "tho"

Thank you!!! I can't decipher who is even speaking, much less what is being said in those tweeters. Your translation? I can comprehend!

You're right, I misspoke. It is the British Empire. I have to disagree about the going strong statement, though.... They voted to voluntarily subject themselves to the EU, and looks like about half of them still want to stay in it. To me, that's hardly the mentality of an empire.

I could give a long-winded thread derailing answer, so I'll suffice by saying that You're bang on (right).
