i agree with you - a bunch of people having hissy fits because you air a topic THEY may have talked about already... it is simple, if you have already talked about it, move on and dont contribute to this thread instead of being all high and mighty.
with every board you get old farts, kings of the hill.
How is everyone being "all high and mighty"? IMO, there weren't any attacks in this thread toward gimmietheball until he became sensitive to his mistake. Hypersensitivity is just as lame as a overly developed sense of worth IMO. While I agree with you about attacking posters for reposts, there is a reason people do so....and in many cases, its because someone brings up a topic that generated pages upon pages of smack talk and posturing.
While this particular thread
http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84787&highlight=turner
wasn't very heated, it does happen for this very reason. Many times it seems to be done deliberately...and its not well received.
The forum guidelines clearly state:
* Reposts of previously posted topics or closely related topics are not allowed. To avoid reposting articles use the Search function on the header at the top of the forum page and look up the author's last name. Some reposts, and closely related topics, will be merged into the earliest created topic; while others may be deleted.
The search button is a good thing. No sense in getting worked up over a little ribbing. Not trying to police anyone here, but reposts of lame topics get old fast.
