Wait...people here told me Michael couldn't learn Seattle's playbook in 3 years and still doesn't know ours...

How is this guy going to teach anyone anything?

In light of what Mike Fisher is saying about CM knowing enough to teach Rod Smith the ropes, is it conceivable that the folks saying otherwise on Cowboys' Zone might have been mistaken? Naw -- that couldn't be, could it?

In any case, I suppose we'll find out about that eventually, assuming CM is good enough friends with Rod Smith to assist him in replacing himself in the lineup. Whoa, OTOH, that does sound like it's asking a lot, though, huh?

Something tells me our RB corps might not be the happiest group within the Cowboys' offense right now. Seems like some crazy (and very desperate) stuff going on at VR these days.

I think CMike has probably not received a warm & fuzzy welcome from the Randles & DMCs of the world. Where most guys that are secure in their talents would rally around others at their position and see it as beneficial to the overall team effort, I believe our two original SBBC members are very insecure. The "meat on the bone" comment earlier this year told me all I needed to know about Randle's mental makeup and DMC probably sees talent in Christine that can take his spot in a heartbeat. Regarding Randle's "meat on the bone" comment, I have always believed in the mantra don't talk about it. Be about it.

CMike's tutelage of an old friend from Seattle says a lot about the quality of person he is. I absolutely love it.

Do you think Randle or DMC would have ever helped CMike? I'm going to say the possibility of walking on water is greater than that possibility. Both of those guys are shaking in their scat cleats right now.

Thank you Jerry.
Thank you bye week.

CM to Smith "If you have a good run, immediately pull yourself from the field and most importantly, remember to avoid any eye contact with members of the coaching staff."

More CM to Smith: "Dude I showed some emotion after a 1st down scamper and got benched. Play poker at all times."

I can't say as I'm sure what Randle and DMC are doing as far as C-Mike is concerned -- haven't read or heard anything about that since his arrival onto the scene. I read where C-Mike motioned to the coaching staff with arms outstretched. Evidently, it wasn't well received by them, judging by the fact that he was benched immediately. Perhaps he would have been benched anyhow. I'm not sure what that was all about.

I wasn't aware Michael was actually tutoring Smith but figured it was just conjecture as to if he was capable of doing so or not. The thread topic questions it, so there's that. Maybe we'll learn more as time goes by. If they're really friends, I guess it stands to reason he'd help him, though.

He motioned to the robotic coahing staff after converting a 3rd & 1 into a 1st down to inspire them to think strategic & outside of the box.. You know... Perhaps (gasp) keep him on the field for more than one play per game. Unfortunately, it did not compute and Jerry had to step in going into the bye week.

There may be a good deal of sensitivity between the RBs and the staff lately with all the confusion happening there. So many are coming and going that I'm sure the RBs as well as the fans are skeptical of what's going on. Anyhow, it's good to hear they're on tap to give Michael a real chance to show what he can do. It's about time for the conservatism to take a back seat to the rather desperate need for change right now.

I think these two will be the one-two punch next year with a third down back picked up in the late rounds or after the draft. Randle and McFadden should be on different teams.

Ezekiel Elliot will be our RB if we don't start winning games. He will be a high pick. However, I would trade up for him if we are mid 1st round or so.

I really do like Randle...as the number 2/change of pace guy.

That was his role last year. Although, when I say that some in here get offended..lol.

That's where he belongs. Run CM as the lead dog and bring Randle in to spell him. That's your Betty Crocker recipe for success in the backfield.
