I'm not a diehard Wolverine fan, but after watching them so much growing up and then seeing what they are now, its amazing.
I think Rich Rodriguez was a bad hire for them. All those alums couldnt wait to run Lloyd Carr, wonder if they are having second thoughts now.
Michigan fan here, and yeah, it was time for Carr to go. Sure he would have always had his 8-9 win seasons consistantly, but simply, Ohio State was recruiting better then Michigan.
The issue this year for Michigan has been Horrible offense and Special Teams, especially Returners on Punt and Kickoffs, giving away the ball. QBs have been pretty bad. Defense has been good, usually at the begining of the game, but the offense's ineptness, causes Defense pretty much to get blown out by second half.
Rich is a good hire, if he can get his people. I really underestimated how much time it would take for him. If he gets a QB next year, he might be able to get 6-7 wins. If not, that might be last season, unless he strings together a streak at end of season next year, even if he starts bad at first.
