When Michigan offensive lineman Steve Schilling is done with the Gator Bowl, he won’t be done playing football for the season.
The fifth-year senior guard told AnnArbor.com on Monday that he has been invited and will play in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 29 in Mobile, Ala.
“They sent us the program from last year’s game, so you see all the great players that played in it,” Schilling said. “It’s a great honor to show your talents in front of the scouts and everyone else in the country.”
For the 6-foot-5, 308-pound Schilling, making a post-season all-star game has always been a goal. Most NFL Draft web sites have named Schilling as a mid-round prospect in April’s draft.
