Scouts aren't quite sure where Michigan State linebacker Greg Jones fits. Against Iowa on Saturday, he certainly didn't play like the first-round prospect many have labeled him to be. He is strong and thick with the hand usage to defeat offensive linemen on the second level, but he struggles in coverage. \

Against Iowa, his lack of athleticism showed up when he was beaten for a TD in the second quarter by Adam Robinson on a wheel route in man-to-man. Jones also lacks the quickness and burst to close on passes in zone coverage.

Jones reminds us of Patriots inside linebacker Brandon Spikes but is a bit more athletic and should be selected in the second round. If he surprises us at the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine, he could sneak back into the first round.
