Since when is 12 and 5 a mess? So far the so called stupid moves have them as the favorite to win the division.

But Rambo we want to take no prisoners . If u sweep the garbage in your division win another half dozen to get to 12 shouldn’t u beat Jimmy Gandolfini and a team that needed a miracle to even score a wildcard .

Over and under is at 10.5 wins. Is that a problem?

The only way this team gets that many wins is if the rest of the NFC East continues to be a dumpster fire and Moore gets a lot of help with play-calling and design since he wet the bed in the back half of the season. The defense fortunately is on the upswing, the offense needs a lot of help. Did you even see their performances against the legit contender teams in the last half of the season, including their playoff performance? They were not a serious contender team. That can change and hopefully the draft will help them, but they made some completely inept roster and salary moves and are now paying the price.

If they weren't a serious contender, why were they favored to beat the 49ers? They were as serious a contender as every other team in the NFC. To say that they weren't is simply not true.

I'll let their play speak for itself. You can talk all you want about "favorites." It's the results that matter.

Yeah, nah. Sorry but this sounds like jilted ex-girlfriend syndrome where the new guy "is more of a man than you ever were" to try to hurt the ex. Don't you rag on Dak for only being a 4th Round talent? Well, Armstrong is the same 4th Round talent. Gregory had a 1st Round grade. No way you can sell him as better at this point. Armstrong has his chance to prove his worth though.
Armstrong has went years between making impactful plays and he is some great , untapped talent all of a sudden. How did his level of play and production increase so much this offseason? A good PR push is mostly responsible along with some gullible fans that believes whatever Jerry is selling about Armstrong and his ability.

Nice write up. Mickey is good at what he does.
No he isn't. Mickey is one of the worst writers that has ever lived. He rambles endlessly, his article titles never match with where he ends up. He's always casting himself as a clever insider when he is, in fact, an idiot. He loathes Cowboys fans and treat them like Canadians, yet he needs their attention to collect a paycheck.

Spagnola is a disaster and if it weren't for that Fisher stalker guy, more attention/effort would be put toward escorting Mickey out the building in handcuffs.

Anyone that talks about the off-season being bad before the draft and FA has been finished is dumb. No other way to say it.

LOL at thinking what’s left in FA solves our issues and expecting the Cowboys to pull out 2-3 immediate impact starters from the draft.

The Cowboys will be a less talented team in 2022 than 2021. They will be banking on better coaching and improvements from younger players like Lamb, Joseph, Gallimore, Parsons, etc.

He certainly was correct about Parsons before the draft last year.

The Cowboys have a great shot at having double digit wins again.

Results like 12 and 5.

Sure. Regular season...and most of those wins were against complete trash. But they did go 12 and 5. Remind me how they did in the playoffs? Oh right.

They lost one game by all of 6 points. What if Wilson would have made that catch?

I agree, I said that myself as well. There is a long way to go yet, draft, FA part 2, OTA's, Mini Camps, see how they all look. Though many on here will just whine about that as well.

Don't shoot the messenger, just saying what Mickey wrote.
Also just saying this is an unusual article from Mickey. I don't think he wrote it to be negative. It just seems to me this is more negative from him, not like his normal stuff. IMO anyway.

Lots of good players will get bumped off of rosters after the draft. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of money floating around to pay players and the available funds are drying up by the day with each additional signing.

The Cowboys may be playing this a little bit smarter than anyone gives them credit for. May be able to get better talent than normal for less cap dollars in the second wave of free agency after the draft.

The Cowboys are taking on some risk, but calculated risk is “your friend” in some instances. I really just want to see them stuck to their draft board and draft BPA.

I don’t care about needs or holes. Just stick to your board, get really good players all the way through the draft, and fill in the gaps on the back end in free agency.

Filling a position with JAG prior to the draft is insurance. But insurance costs money. Filling a hole with JAG isn’t filling a hole at all. They can do that after the draft, cheaply, with no dead money.
