Per the Ranch Report, Mick said Al Johnson was scheduled to have his knee scoped today. He said it is a relatively minor surgery and that there is a chance he could be ready for the Giants game. He said they should know more tomorrow when Parcells speaks at his press conference.

I though Mickey also made a good observation when he said that something happened when they corrected the fumbled snaps from center. Other teams must be picking something up which is enabling them to jump the snap count. Obviously at times, the other team is jumping off sides, but there are also plays where DL are getting a great jump off the ball. Mickey also said sometimes Bledsoe is riding the center so long that it is messing up the timing on some plays. He said they have to find a way to prevent teams from stacking the line and shooting the gaps on running plays. It may take a long run to back the defense off a bit. Right now, defenses don't have any fear of the Cowboys breaking a long run because it has happened yet this year.

Thanks for the update.

Yeah something has been up since the Detroit game, people have been in the backfield it seems before the ball was snapped for 2 weeks now. They better get that fixed, because the O-line isn't so fast off the ball, last thing they need is a disadvantage.

That is a good observation by Mickey.

This delay in the center exchange is EXACTLY what a lot of posters, including me, saw last year and this pre-season with Henson.

During the game yesterday I also thought Bledsoe was a half step slow in his drop and thought it must be the caution he is showing about the dropped snaps.

It's really unbelievable for it to happen with Henson and now Bledsoe because I've never seen it with another team before.

It's been posted here by numerous posters for the last two weeks.

Somebody has a tell allowing teams to anticipate the count. Maybe the snap is a tad slow and Bledsoe may be taking too much time to drop back but that does not affect the obvious thing that the opposing team knows when the ball is going to be snapped.

Better find it and use it against the opposing team which is what I think happened in the first half of the last game.

Better yet stop doing it and quickly.

Hope Al will be ok but I sure would like to have a BIGGER, STRONGER, and more AGGRESSIVE center.

Right guys, hey we can't bring this up because it might possibly be true and because it casts an unfavorable glow on Drew Bledsoe.

Our bad.

Rob Phillips, of DallasCowboys.com, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/14/nfl">Dallas Cowboys C Al Johnson (knee) will have arthroscopic knee surgery this weekend, according to head coach Bill Parcells. Parcells said that Johnson may still be able to play Week 13. OG Andre Gurode would start if Johnson is unable to play.

Thanks for the update....I have noticed that at times, recently, Bledsoe almost looks "Henson-esque" pulling away from center. Right now, the exchange is a bit deliberate.

Good catch by Spags.

No answer to my point - how many defensive offsides have we drawn last 2 games picklehead?

About 10 times we have drawn opponents off sides. I'll slow it down - they have our cadence all figured out???????? It was bad announcing in Detroit game.....Hook line and sinker

he may be staying in there a tad too long. But we are drawing the team off sides past 2 games a LOT. Thats usually the QB cadence or a team that thinks it knows something but doesn't.

Our issues are more in pass protection and poor run blocking.
