The video feed broke in on mickey and smoaky talking. about the cowboys possible having a let down, and mickey said, all you have to do is remind the team of the rams, and the 49ers beat the rams badly last week.
Smoaky asked mickey what he thought makes this team different and they have it together like you thought they did after the green bay game this year. Mickey said No, not me, I need to see them do it, win some wins in a row, not just one game here or there, im paraphrasing. Mickey went on to say, I am not going to fall for it again cowboys players, so we otherwise.
Mickey felt that he wasnt surprised that the cowboys went to washington and won. That he still isnt high on the Commanders as a big winning team, and maybe the fans shouldnt be too high on the cowboys either, because they beat the Commanders by just 4 points.
this is what I think, you know how we all got hyped up after the green bay game, then let down, then hyped up after the tampa bay game, but who did we reaally beat, tampa bay doesnt have a dominat offense, just a real good defense, and same thing for the Commanders, they havent been scoring the last few weeks, so we just need to be patient, let the cowboys play, and wait til after the thanksgiving game, when we meet pittsburgh and the giants again, they we can gauge this team, hopefully by that time they will be on a roll.

The cowboys did get some help back in this game with getting pro bowl QB romo back and pro bowl cb newman, that helps your team, but wait till they play a really good team before you get hyped up and see what the cowboys do. I think along those lines too, i dont think this team has found out their idenity yet, and leadership is just starting to evolve. We all saw how romo has stepped up, romo was even talking to demarcus ware to get him pumped up. And romo is a big boost for this team, that is very evident. Witten is stepping up as a leader, and so is newman, you saw how he reacted to what moss did to him earlier and what newman said he was going to do.
Leadership is finally starting to step forward on this team, now we need to keep the intensity up,and jason garrett and houck is taking that next step by installing run laps when offensiive linemen make penalities, or holding or jumping offsides in practices. Thats what is needed on this team, someone to hold playes accountable and coaches accountable.

Smoaky and mickey talked about the full house backfield and wishbone. Basically saying that this was used, but more in this game for teams that want to load up 8 men in the box, so we will have more people to block for a run, or if you stack the run we can hit you on slants, quickins etc to sidelines and burn you for stacking the line of scrimmage.
and the cowboys commented to the run more in this game than in the washington game, main thing being, that the cowboys couldnt run in the 1st game against washington , but they emphasized this in this game to run and run. So, they used more hitches and slants to help open up when the Commanders tried to stop the run.
mickey went on to say that when the cowboys threw the touchdown pass at the 25 yard line to witten at endzone, landry the Commanders safety was at the 5 yard line, and when romo threw landry was retreating back into the endzone, and thats where the Commanders had landy the safety play most of the game, 20 yards deep to help out on deep passes, (most likely on T O, ) mickey went on to say the Commanders used this same type of coverage with landry in the first game.
A fan called in and asked about the swagger on this team if they had it, or what was between the ears of the cowboys players. Smoaky and mickey joked that if you tried to evalluate the cowboys on the way they play this year, you would need a physcarist, and mickey told smoaky to get his own couch, was a joke zoners.
Mickey went on to say, you know this team wins a couple of games then loses a couple of games, that when you win, everyone feels great, but when you lose, you stink. So, mickey said wait for a trend to see if this team can put some wins together, or see what this team does after the thanksgiving game. Mickey is thinking too, that the cowboy players bought into the hype during training camp etc, that they were good, and hearing from medial, press and fans, that they started believing it, and they looked at the schedule and believed all they had to do was win 11 games to get in. That dont blame the cowboy players because they are human too, just like us fans, and can fall for hype and expectations. But that the players cant do that, which is true, and take one game at a time, and dont get ahead of themselves.
Another fan called in and asked about romo and felix. Mickey said he thinks that romo will wear the cast on his pinkie at least one more game, maybe 2 since the 2nd game is in 10 days, and on thursday next thanksgiving but that romo should have the cast off by then and throwing great.
On felix he said, he is thinking more and more, he might not play, mickey said wait and let him see what happens wednesday, that if felix doesnt practice this week, its doubtful that he will play that thursday either because the cowboys will basically practice just one day hard after sundays game getting ready for seattle, and mickey just didnt see the cowboys letting felix play thursday with just one practice next week, if he doesnt practice this week.
Just dont rush felix back, let him get that hamstring fully healed first,
