Summary, bill coates asks mickey about injuries. Yes some of the guys that havent gotten on the field can you keep him, example i would think is stephen hodge. Tried to practice on knee scope, he is out again. Wade said he had setback as you know, and may have to go on injured reserve, maybe.

Waiver wire, dont think you do that, not the first week of regular season, they count as full salary, so you wait till 2nd week of season, best i could hear.

schedule is schedule, you have dates each team tries to leave open so you cant get all fired up about order of schedule, only matters if your struggling, its heavy at the end, but you need to do well at start of season to balance it out.

leftwhich qb question; well im not sure if its good or bad, they faced him before when they beat the cowboys in jacksonvile, he has a strong arm and how much better he makes tampa bay.

on mistakes, mickey says wade feels good about what they are doing and wade is trying to clean things up,mickey says you have to outscore your mistakes, but when you only play 2 quarters or so with your starters, its hard to win or really see how your team is doing paraphrasing here.

dink and dunk question, at start everyone wanted the cowboys to run the ball, but now everyone is asking can they throw the ball, so dedice on what you want. I think iwht the 2 cover technique teams are running, you cant throw deep to well, paraphrasing again, so mickey says i think you have to look towards more flare passes to felix and run the ball and throw to the te's, that will open up passing downfield more to a degree

break;commercial
talked about jason williams out, brandon williams, mike hamlin out, its only 6 weks so i can keep thenm on roster, but then its oh, i can only keep so many because then i dont have enough players ready to play because so many are hurt

ogletree question to mickey; lets him make the team first, dont think he will be in a starting role, but the cowobys may keep 6 wrs, dont think he will be a starter though; he has looked good since OTAs; now lets see what he can do again

short at linebacker and seconday, brought in george, so without jason williams, hodge, brandon williams, you may have to keep 8 or 9 or 10, talked about brining in haynes and other db, cant think of his name now;

they dont have any takeaways, but if you only give up 16 points you are doing good, talked about bad inter call on sensabaugh, but only give up 254 yrds; so thats not bad;

talked about blackouts due to economy in nfl, mickey says you may have to doownsize your stadium like jacksonville has and carolina is struggling too iwth tickets and sales, if some team winds up in california, wont be a new team, but a move team

70,000 for blackout lift with all seats, suites, etc to lift blackout for cowboys stadium

if starters do very little bit, in friday nights game, might be allot of young guys trying to show something to make a roster, doesnt think farve will play friday night, but if he needs to be sharper they may play him for a quarter.

That's nice to explain away giving away exhibition games, but it begs a deeper question. Is this team able to recover from it's mistakes? We couldn't last year. The key is to avoid them to begin with, but I have not seen anything yet, even from the starters, that shows that's no longer an issue.

I believe this team is going to have to be better at avoiding mistakes instead of just thinking we should outscore them. We still make strange penalties at the worst times.

The slow methodical drives we saw in preseason are a precursor, we will need to avoid costly penalties and mental errors. If we have the mindset that we can just quickstrike our way out of them, I question our direction.

The question becomes are our starters capable of not doing these things?

If we were a moderately penalized team or one who didn't turn the ball over much, I would agree with Spagnola. But we haven't shown that.

One player out for six weeks is not that big of a deal. But when it is two as it is in the case of Williams and Hamlin, it not "only" six weeks. That's two roster spots that will be chewed up as inactive and you still have to replace what you had planned for both of them. It needs to be considered, not sugarcoated.

ogletree question to mickey; lets him make the team first, dont think he will be in a starting role, but the cowobys may keep 6 wrs, dont think he will be a starter though

Whew. I almost thought Ogletree was going to start. Thank goodness Spagnola is around to keep everyone grounded.

I really hope that this "that's doing good" and "so that's not bad" type of rationalization isn't going on behind closed doors. Our defense has to step up and get the takeaways. Sixteen points but no turnovers isn't "doing good". It is okay. Sixteen points with a takeaway or two means more points for the offense. We can't count on 12 play 90 yard drives like we saw in the preseason. Sometimes the defense will have to get the ball and that means via the interception. The soft passive give them a little and try to stiffen technique we used last year won't work.

good points as always alexander, i think wade is on top of it in some ways though

like tuesday he had qbs and centers working with the football exchange but no proctor in that practice scheme;

then wade challenged matt stewart, stanback, brown and someone else that were on the bubble, i think in no uncertain terms he told them you had better show me something your on the bubble from making this team.
