Middle seam: what this offense was missing

I love the fight we put up, and the win, but the most encouraging thing I saw today (and which I’ve been clamoring to see all year) are vertical seam routes. Having a TE or WR run north-south and pressure the safeties up the field has been the single biggest missing piece of this offense IMO. Seeing a big target like Jarwin do it so successfully is awesome and could not have come at a better time. SEA is going to have to prepare for that and it gives their LBs and S something to worry about and deter them from stacking the box. I just do not understand why it took 17 weeks.

Yeah it was really carving up that defense....

Hopefully we stick to it and Dak has more comfort with Jarwin in the Redzone

you should know that answer by now. It's a process!

I've been saying all week that I hope they tell Dak to just attack the middle and try to build confidence. Look at his passing charts, he barely even tries.

It wasn't just the vertical seam, in general they attacked the middle of the field today and it paid off.

17 weeks....how about 3 years

I thought that was a big thing for them as well, and the biggest positive from the offense over the last 3 games.

This development shows me Dak has everything he needs. Jarwin, Gallup n Beasely are all capable players.

The seam route will open up a lot, so if Dak n Jarwin can sustain this type of effort the offense could get going.

Caught a ESPN tweet
Jarwin was told before the game he was selected for a random drug test
