Midseason Predictions Thread -- What will be our final record?

I've been saying 11-5 like I did last year and that should not be too daunting a task for this team. Keep playing and improving on defense like they have been and that should be attainable.

I'm drinkin' the Kool-Aid!!!

(with maybe a bit too much vodka mixed)

14-2 BABY!!!

Before the season started I said we'd be 11-5 with a shot at 12-4. Looking good right now.

I originally thought we'd be 8-8 but I'm at 11-5 now. I'd be thrilled with 11-5 as a matter of fact.

@ GB 60%
Wash 80%
Oak 85%
@ NYG 40%
SD 65%
@ NO 25%
@ Wash 75%
Philly 55%

E(w)=6+.6+.8+.85+.4+.65+.25+.75+.55=10.85

Going with 11-5

I voted 7-9 because I wanted to "keep it real" with the realists.

I dunno, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing them limp into the playoffs at 10-6 with a chip on their shoulders and all the analysts writing them off.

All this talk in other threads about December baffles me. The playoffs are in January. And the streak we're all sick of hearing about pertains to January. As long as they get to January, I don't care about December or their final record. It doesn't seem to matter based on who's been getting to the final dance lately.

My entirely meaningless inkling is 11-5. I think we "should win the next three, with one potential slipup in the mix (leaving us at 9-2 or 8-3). I think think December goes 3-2 or 2-3. Averaging the two scenarios out, I come to 11-5.

Giants dont scare me, we practically handed them the game first time around and still almost won. Beating Philly is a hell of alot more difficult than the G-men, remember Philly dropped 40 on the G-men.

I think the Saints are the only team left on the schedule that is equal or better than us. So I think that game is going to be a loss down in the SuperDome.

Throw 1 more loss in somewhere along the way and that gets us to 12-4 and the #2 seed in the playoffs. I am calling it right now, The NFC Championship Game will be Dallas at New Orleans. Hopefully we can win the rematch!!!!!

Hell, I will just be happy going to the NFCCG, even we lose.

Sticking with my original prediction of 12-4. I see the Cowboys dropping a game against the Saints and one against a division rival (probably Philly in the final game, they do that a lot) but don't see any of the other teams beating us.

Packers? Aaron Rodgers throws for a lot of yardage, but he also takes several drive killing sacks a game. He looked like a superstar in the making his first season starting, now he just looks like he holds onto the ball too long. Their pass D is crap (see: Vikings game) and we shouldn't have any trouble throwing on them.

Commanders? They're not beating anyone IMO, even taking into account the unpredictability of division games they're god awful this year. They can't pass, they can't run and their defense, typically the only thing that keeps them in games has been suspect a lot.

Raiders? They beat the Eagles, but they're still a bad team. I don't see Jamarcus Russell doing much (except for throw ints) against the secondary if it's playing even close to the current level. Predicting 3 ints and a fumble in our favor.

Chargers? Tough to read, but LT is not his old self and they've looked vulnerable a whole lot this year. Still, they're unpredictable enough that they're the biggest potential spoiler on 12-4 IMO.

Giants? We spotted them 24 at home and still should have won, also Romo has usually been a Giant slayer. It's in the Meadowlands but I don't think they win the next game.

I said 9-7 week 1 and I'll stay with 9-7 and hope I get to eat some juicy crow.

The history of late seasons collapses has be a little cautious still.

Credit to theogt, Hos and others who predicted the Cowboys would turn this around. Here's hoping they can keep it up. I chose 12-4 because I'm in a good mood but 11-5 is probably a safer bet.
