When Jason Garret's contract expired, Jerry was actually considering extended him, but the brass convinced him to go in another direction. Their goal was to find an experienced HC to avoid growing pains that Jason Garrett went through. They reached out to the Minnesota Vikings and asked permission to interview Mike Zimmer and were denied. Many believe Zimmer was their 1st choice.
The defense is starting to come together, the players are now buying into Zimmer's system. If the defense continues to play well down the stretch, Zimmer is going to be in the mix to become the team's new HC. I would rule out a reunion with Kevon Stepfanski as oc if fired by the Browns.
I'm in hiring the BB camp, but Zimmer is the kind of HC that Jerry would end up hiring.
