They said Jerry has Jason so scared of screwing up that Jason is basically doing everything he can to not screw up only to avoid the wrath of Jerry.

They mentioned that Jerry went off on Jason after Detroit, something I had never heard.

There are times when the GM SHOULD chew out the coach. Detroit was one; this was another.

jerry had no problem calling out orlando scandrick after the game, why not call out the head coach too? he has literally cost us several games this year.

Pure speculation on there part....but to blame Jerry for this is ridiculous. Jerrah is an entrepeneur and strikes me as the type of guy who would rather his coach run a few more plays at the end of the game than do what his head coach did. Either way, JG needs to man up and take blame for this or he could lose his team.

Lemme tell ya........Jerry was 100% correct in ripping Garrett a new one after detroit. That one was dang near as absurd as THIS ONE. Nothing tops yesterday though. That one was epic buffoonery. Were gonna be the butt of jokes after yesterday for quite some time. And to be honest....deservedly so.

so garrett is so scared of screwing up that he screws up?

this was on no one but garrett

when you coach scared of a possible bad outcome, bad things happen

I don't know if it's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me if Jerry told Jason to not put Romo in a position to fail after the Detroit game. It would explain the end of the NE game.

It's pretty irrelevant here though. After the completion you still call the TO and run some play.

I caught the same thing on Mike and Mike. I have no idea if their take is correct or not, but it is obvious to me that Garrett coached scared at the end of the game yesterday. He coached not to lose. He didn't trust his players. HIS players. You just can't coach that way and be successful IMO. Mike Ditka said the exact same thing and I would think he knows. If Garrett is worried about Jerry Jones, he needs to chose a new profession. I realize Jones is Garrett's boss, but he can't let that influence his decisions on the field.

garrett is a grown *** man.

if he's scared of screwing up, he's in the wrong business.

Exactly. He should make it known that you ****ed us two games this year Jason. Hopefully this fires up jg and the team for the giants game

Yeah I heard that and they made it sound like it was a well known fact.

garrett goes from one extreme to another,he is defintely caling a safe game.this ofcourse will not work against the giants,it will be interesting to see how he handles this one.

Not only fact but just a situation that nearly castrated Garrett.

Well if it's true at least we know Jerry isn't a homerzilla like a lot of the Garrett peeps are.

Hopefully Jerry forces him to get an offensive coordinator this offseason.

It's sad that the Cardinals just all out blitz us with no respect for our weapons and we never made them pay.

It has to start somewhere. Jerrah is the biggest problem with this franchise!

If nothing else maybe the idiot will keep his big mouth shut!

I watched it - Mike/Mike are wrong. I am glad Jerry is on Jason's case.
Dealing with a difficult boss is part of leading anything. If Garrett can't confidentally make the right decisions during games because he has an aggressive boss, then it is his issue not Jerry's. If it is affecting Jason's decisions and making him scared, it further shows he is the wrong guy for the job. Welcome to the real world.

Uh, this is football, not Walmart.

Got to say you're wrong here. In any sport the coach has to be THE leader. The only person a player eventually answers to. The owner should just sit in his box, sign the checks, and make the tough decisions if he's not getting his money's worth. The fact that the Cowboys' organization isn't run like this is a big part of our futility over the last 15 years. It has little to do with yesterday though.
