Golic, Greenie and Mark Schlereth are discussing this question and in particular, talking about Tony Romo.

The majority of this was heard while driving, so most of it is just a overall summary.

MS said he didn't think Tony Romo has had a defining moment where it is an important game (I believe he means a Playoff Game) and Tony Romo wins the game.

MS said that Eli Manning's leadership was even being questioned last year. He said when Tiki Barber and Jeremy Shockey left, that help Eli Manning evolve into a leader, along with his on the field play.

Golic - When I was in Philadelphia, Randall Cunningham was not our leader. He made some good plays but he wasn't the guy we rallied around.

MS - If Randall Cunningham would have gotten the Eagles over the hump, I think that would have been a different story. Also, I am sure there were some people in the Eagles lockerroom that viewed Randall Cunningham as a leader.

Golic - Aikman said it best, Tony Romo's decision making has been a problem.

Greenie - What you guys are saying is that the QB doesn't have to be the guy that is yelling at everybody, but what he is doing on the field.

MS and Golic - Yes.

MS - My days in Washington, you have Byers and Jacoby and those were the leaders.

MS - The QB just has to be the guy that the defense is saying, if we can just get a turnover, our QB will win the game.

I'm really hoping Tony proves them wrong and shows all of the media and fans his true leadership abilitys. But I must admit seeing him make the same mistakes over and over again does not give me a lot of confidence.

I think Romo is more of a leader than given credit for. He obviously isn't a big time field general in the image of Troy Aikman, but I think Romo can and will win a playoff game. I think his biggest problem to overcome is that Wade Phillips is a piss poor head coach and he has to deal with that.
