Mike Ditka has passed away

RIP, Coach Mike Ditka. Deepest condolences to your family and loved ones. You were a great SB winning coach and player, plus you did both for the Dallas Cowboys and Coach Tom Landry. Once a Cowboy, always a Cowboy!

:starspin: Mike Ditka!!! :starspin:

He may have been an animated HC but he was behind the Ricky Williams trade which was just ridiculous for what they gave up. Ill always remember him for that first. RIP coach

I'm more bummed about this news than the 3 losses/ how bad our defense is.
It's not even close. I've thought more about Dikta since this was announced than the football "team".

He still holds the record for "Most clipboads broken by an Assistant Coach" with the Cowboys.
Great memories of him.
Rest in Peace, Mike Ditka.

He had one hell of a career and he was a damn good coach, 86 years is a good run! Rest in peace Mr. Ditka

Sad to hear of Mike Ditka passing.Great career as one of the better Tight Ends in NFL History and one the toughest players to ever play the game. When Coach Tom Landry acquired him in 1969 from Philadelphia he told him he believed he would help the Cowboys be a better Team and he was right. After he retired in 1972 he went on to be one of Coach Landry's most trusted Assistant Coaches and was truly held in the highest regard by Him.Went on to have a succesful Head Coaching career with the Bears and was an unforgettable character.

Rest In Peace "Monk" and make sure to get the Coach to laugh up there in Heaven with Your way with words.

I saw that Dikta would have been 87 on October 18th so he passed away a week before his birthday

He should have stayed retired instead of taking the Saints job, Dikta was awful with the Saints

Just heard about his passing a couple of minutes ago; Condolences to his friends and family that cared and loved him. May he be in a better place with loved ones welcoming him.
