Mike Fisher: Cowboys actively making calls and taking calls for trade

Wow, wonder if this will make some fans happy they are "making" calls.

Can't wait to see how that gets spun. :muttley:
Maybe they are making calls, because a team left a message. So not them actually making a call, just returning one.
A lot in play here.

But it is from Fisher.
Wonder if Pickens name is involved. Would love to have him opposite CeeDee. But I read several posts the past few days, that he is a knucklehead. If so, how big of a knucklehead is he?
I think they said they are taking phone calls from any team wanting their # 12 pick.

Pickens is talented, but a bit of a head case. Throws tantrums when he's not getting the ball. Starts fights on the field with corners that know they can get in their head (we saw Jourdan Lewis get to him last season). When he's not involved in the play he will jog half-speed down the field. And most of the time he doesn't even bother to block.

But if coaches and teammates can get through to him, wow. You are talking a 6'4 receiver with deep speed that can make highlight reel catches look routine. So much ability wrapped in such an immature package.
That's a BIG if. Risk vs reward is fine, but this team takes to many chances and it shows on the depth chart. I'm fine with adding boom/bust guys as depth, but this team needs a #2 receiver. Bringing in a risk to compete with Mingo and Tolbert for the #2 spot is asking for trouble.

That's what he said. He also said it's not something where they make the call, they have to be called. Which makes perfect sense. But some are getting confused over this.

Prepare for another fleecing of Jerry Jones.
I read this morning that Pickens is 'More available than people realize' hinting that the price may not be as steep as one would suspect. Whether that is true or not, Dumb & Dumber probably have no clue.

Sounds like a guy Jerry would pursue.

Exa
He has very little trade value maybe a 6th. Basically a move to create a void to justify Warren or Lovela

Exactly. It's like buying a pack of nails, pulling out the old nails in a fence and hammering the new nails in the same holes. What was accomplished?
