Mike Fisher on Dak helping this offense by being a runner!

The Dak over Dallas fans are out lying with fake stats. Plain as day. Time to call them out.

When are you going to apologize for being wrong? Dak has been going downhill for years as an effective runner.
It's funny, when Dak leads all QB categories in the history of the organization, they will say it was all during garbage time.

Yeah, he's a QB, not a RB. Yet, he led this team to back-to-back-to-back 12-5 seasons and playoff births for each season. Sounds like Dak did a good and effective job after all.

When are you going to apologize? If not, when are you going to go follow another team? Cowboys Nation doesn't need any backstabbing traitors as "fans".

You mad at the co-signer but not the person who made the statement is wild lol.
Because you have told me directly that you knew it was a bad idea to give Dak all that money...but you openly advocated for it. Wild comments like the one you made expose your bias...you DO BELIEVE it was a good idea to give Dak that money and you are HAPPY the team did it. The fly in the ointment? You don't have any good arguments for giving Dak that money so you pretend that you are conflicted. Poppycock.

I advocated that he get what he's worth, not what you think he's worth. I verbatim said the Cowbosy shouldn't do it, but I wasn't stupid and knew they would. No GM has ever given up on an All-Pro at QB right after getting a Pro. IT was common sense to predict it.

Once again, you're coming at the co-signer and not the person who made the statement. Are you scared of him or something? What am I missing?

You get annoying when you act dense. I'm a Dak fan. You know this, so what is this about me being conflicted? I have never hidden that I'm not one of these scared cowards. He's gonna look a certain way for being a fan. That ain't me.

Poppycock is a wild thing to say. Disgusting even.

Let's take the temperature down a bit.

First, I was not "mad". My post had a ton of "LOL"s in hit...so stop clutching your pearls and feigning offense. Second, you want me to believe that you are a Dak fan who openly cheered for the team to commit to the guy you say ...is not worth it? OK, but you're out is because "they were gonna do it anyway". No, that's not true about Dak being "all-pro" and a team walking away. For one, Dak was SECOND TEAM...with 2 measley pro bowls in a time when it's pretty easy for a "top QB" to make a Pro Bowl. Anyway, I've seen teams walk away from Carson Wentz, Russell Wilson (SBs), Tom Brady (6 SBs), Joe Montana (4 SBs)...when they made the evaluation that they player WASN'T WORTH IT.

So you can emote all you like but...it's still a tortured bit of "logic".

And let's get back to the point of this thread: One of the reasons Dak "isn't worth it" is because he's NO GOOD without his legs. Fish was basically saying that in the nicest possible of ways. So giving a guy with a bad wheel a contract has already turned out to be a bad decision...the man ripped the hamstring off the bone trying to throw too hard. So yeah...my post implied you should know better if what you said originally was true...that you don't think it's a good idea. But all I see is you co-signing the notion that Dak IS mobile!!! This is double-talk, double-think.

Can Dak run? Probably, most of us can but he just needs to be more decisive when he chooses to being he'll likely never be as fast as he was his first few years in the league. Last year there were times nothing looked open but there was a wide open lane in front of him, if he chose to take the lane a second or two faster maybe instead of a forced throw, sack or minimal gain it's a more positive play. I'm not expecting long runs but if he does just enough for defenses to account for those 5-7 yards that likely opens it up for for someone else covered by a safety or LB.

GM Jethro put us in a no win situation. Jethro had zero cards to play, and trading for Trance, was a complete desperation type of move.

People can blame Dak and his Agent all they want, but GM Jethro 100% created this problem. A so called GM, with 35 years experience, would have been banned from all of football for putting his team in that situation.

They would have a hard time finding work as an Athletic Director at a Junior College after that contract.

Ok this the last time im gonna say it because there’s some miscommunication somewhere.

I’m pro players getting paid.
I don’t believe Cowboys should’ve gave Lamb or Dak those deals.

I was for Lamb and Dak going somewhere better then here.

Let’s address some of your lies or misunderstandings…..

You did not even read what I said. I said a team has not ever let a qb walk after an All Pro season. Whether it was first team or second it’s never happened. It’s a fact.

Dak has been announced to Pro Bowl numerous times and has declined to go. Pro Bowls mean nothing in 2025 and haven’t for some time.

Joe Montana asked to be traded
Eagles re-signed Wentz…traded to Colts
Russel Wilson asked to be traded
Tom Brady left the Pats to go to the Buccs

Never said Dak was mobile or co-signed it but like I said you feel more comfortable going at the co-signer then the person who made the statement.

Now I see why you get all wrapped around the axle...you're determined to be right.

Montana only asked to be traded when the team decided to go with S. Young. The core of that team still had a SB or 3 left in them. So...no.

Eagles re-signed Wentz and then drafted Hurts in 3 months! So they basically hedged on the guy - according to your logic - they HAD to keep.

Russell Wilson...was not going to get paid by Carroll because he knew he was a fraud...and thanks for bringing that example up. 2 SB appearances and they were good without him.

Tom Brady was PUSHED OUT. It's been verified. STOP THIS.

You are deflecting. I said no team has ever let a guy playing qb make an all pro and let him go. You then list not one example of it. Not one. None of those guys were announced to all pro before they got traded…

Man the post said he was told not to run, so again he'll just stand there and wait to be carted off the field
If your QB has to routinely drop back and run, the season is over before it started.

Primary job of the QB is to read the defense, find the open receiver and get the ball out quickly.

The QB's that can't do that, have to run around and wait until they can find someone open. Although this may be entertaining, and may result in some highlight film, this is not a winning strategy, and definitely not how the play was designed.

You're going into something else that I don't like, it seems at times that that's our best passing play, to have Dak run around and buy time until someone is able to break open. That's not offense to me that's LUCK, I'd like to see us get the ball out quickly, block, and have guys separate better this season

Can Dak run in spots sure, if Dak is running for his life then we are trouble...he isnt Lamar never was. They get a solid run game getting back to being able to roll him off PA then yeah Dak can pick his spots...do we need to see 7 QB draws a game Hell no.

Yes, if you have receivers who can't separate, you do not have much of a choice. Or if you don't have chemistry with your receivers or if they run bad or inconsistent routes and the QB can not trust them to be where they are supposed to be.

What made Troy and Mike very unique, especially in today's NFL, Troy could throw the ball before Mike broke his route and the ball would be exactly where Michael was.

This is very rare in today's football. True pocket passers, are becoming obsolete, as GM's becoming more infatuated with the potential of running QB's, who rely on their athletic ability, than there ability to read a defense.
