Mike Fisher on Dak helping this offense by being a runner!

Yes, if you have receivers who can't separate, you do not have much of a choice. Or if you don't have chemistry with your receivers or if they run bad or inconsistent routes and the QB can not trust them to be where they are supposed to be.

What made Troy and Mike very unique, especially in today's NFL, Troy could throw the ball before Mike broke his route and the ball would be exactly where Michael was.

This is very rare in today's football. True pocket passers, are becoming obsolete, as GM's becoming more infatuated with the potential of running QB's, who rely on their athletic ability, than there ability to read a defense.
chasing you're on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last thing you want is a QB who is unlikely to take off from time to time when the situation calls for it.

The other last thing you want is a QB who, when he does take off, looks like a lumbering, stumbling, bumbling accident waiting to happen.

Who doesn't hold their breath when Dak "takes off"?

The last thing you want is your staring QB re-injure their hamstring during a meaningless mini camp.

It's funny, when Dak leads all QB categories in the history of the organization, they will say it was all during garbage time.
Roger = 2 SB wins, 5 SB appearances
Troy = 3 SB wins, 3 SB appearances

Dak = not getting close to an NFCCG yet.

Who cares about team stat leaders at this point.

5 years ago I’d be onboard. Not sure Dak can survive another bad hit while running. Body seems to be giving out last few years. Not as bad as Romo was in his early 30’s but definitely can’t be considered a rookie workhorse anymore.
Aside from the broken ankle, his injuries haven’t been from contact (calf, hamstring). That actually may be more worrisome than getting injured via contact, but I’m not concerned with the hits. He never was a rookie workhorse. He ran the ball about the same during his last full season as he did during his first contract, but it’s also important to remember that he had Zeke and a much better OL during his first go around, not to mention that very young QBs will tuck and run more often as they adjust to the pro game.

Dak just isn’t a running QB. He’s quick enough to scramble, so that’ll have to do. I also think he’s far more willing to run than the coaches will allow.

He’s nowhere close to Romo in the injury department. Once a player experiences chronic back issues, their days are numbered.

I find it hard to believe that Dak isn’t well conditioned, so idk how the non-contact injuries happened, especially the hamstring, nearly ripped off the bone while throwing the ball? I guess if Bridgewater (or any player) can completely obliterate a knee for no apparent reason, anything can happen, I just wish it would quit happening to us.

Dak's legacy will be not contributing to the super bowl collection Roger and Troy built.
Dak still has time. With this team being rebuilt with youth, loads of talent and lots of determination, plus new gun-ho coaches, Dak has a very good chance to help this Cowboys team reach far into the playoffs.

I prefer my QB's to be able to throw the ball.
I prefer the same, and I also appreciate a team that has an RB who is a legit threat and more than one WR that the defense has to account for. We seem to have fixed the latter, no word on the former.
