Workouts aren't as important as on-field skills but he also tested better than AJ Green, Deandre Hopkins, Brandon Marshall, and Alshon Jeffrey. How well does he test if he wasn't bulked up for TE work?
Not just an athlete. Some guys can jump at the combine but they never do it in a game. Or they jump but they need to body catch. Gesicki has elite vertical but also outstanding body control and excellent at high-pointing the ball. Huge catch radius. He's not a traditional TE. Maybe he is not a TE at all. If a team keeps him in to block often, they're using him wrong.
