In the video you see the quick clip of Cowboys rookie CB Mike Jenkins being very honest about how he reacted when hearing about the trip. I think that one clip shows you that this idea which was brought to Roger Goodell by Irvin was brilliant.

It was nice to see the way Jenkins had changed his tune when he was actually there at the HOF and taking it all in.

These kids coming into the NFL are now from a world of so many options. The term 'Globalization' is no joke nowadays and it's not rare to hear some of the young players say they aren't really aware of some the great players from the past.

This is why it's important for them to actually visit the HOF and be introduced to the history of the game in a setting where they can fully understand that the game will always be bigger than they are as individuals.

Again, Michael Irvin deserves some applause for his efforts here.

Good point. Glad to see he was able to digest it and process it properly. Got to give him props for good sense.

No what Michael Irvin needs is a job as a Commentator for FOX or NFL Network.......or even a job as our WR coach whenever our current one finally retires.

You know you've got it bad when you can recognize all the Cowboy rookies by their face in the month of June...lol.

I was a little confused though when I saw Dave Chappelle there with the team.

No kidding. :laugh2:

Heck, I even knew Amandola. That's pretty bad.

was it just me or Jenkins looked like he had a little pot belly during that HOF video?

I thought Irvin had a great line in there:

"There are a lot of men in this room that got paid little, but they gave a lot.

And now you guys are getting paid a lot but you are respecting a little."

Be careful, you might offend that one guy again :D

Mike Irvin is the man! Troy was great, Emmit was a beast but #88 was the heart of it all. Don't ever lose the intensity Mike!

I 100% agree that taking the rookies to the Hall of Fame is a great thing to do and will give them all a new point of view on the NFL, it's history and what it will take for them to be great.

But please explain to me how the term "globalization" has anything to do with whether younger players understand the game's history.

Michael Irvin, probably the most embarrassing player in the 90's turns out to be the best spokesman for the 90's Cowboys and the one I am the proudest of at this point in time.

I love Mike!!
