Jenkins played one play. He was otherwise healthy.

So what does that mean? Is this the proverbial "pull him to the bench because a trade is in the works"?

What are we to make of that? I haven't heard of anything surrounding this.

If Jenkins plays....that means 4 corners on the field. 6 DB's

Vs an offense that likes to run the ball even in 3 WR set's.

Would not be smart imo.

I was against the thought of trading him, but at this point with things looking like another 8-8 wasted season, why not get a 3rd or 4th rounder for him if you can?

It looks like the team will need the extra picks for next year anyway.

Actually, I had read somewhwere that he had re-qggravated his shoulder during Baltimore. They may have decided to activate him for the game as an emergency corner, but otherwise let him heal up.

We have not seen stellar receiving offenses the last two weeks. The upcoming Giamts are another story. We'll need all the CBs we can get our hands on to defend that those receivers.

Look for Jenkins snaps to dramatically increase in this next game.

If you really feel that Jenkins does not help all that much this year, and you can get a 2nd for him, do it.

We can use those picks for O-line help, and D-line.....and maybe a safety.

round 1, O-line....Round 2 O-line/D-line or pass rushing specialist....Round 2 again, Safety

I can't see getting a second rounder, especially after his recent reinjury 'scare'.

But at this point I'd be willing to go as low as a 4th rounder, considering I think there is zero chance that he returns after this season.

If we're not going to play him trade him.

Yeah I hear you....you make a good point.

I have no idea where I saw it on twitter, so I'm still searching. But I *think* I saw someone note that he was on the sidelines with a ball cap and that he'd left the game with an injury.

Can't confirm, but I'm looking.

It's a lie, until you can prove it.

:p:

Afraid he'd pull a muscle getting off the bench.

I have no idea why he didn't play. Jenkins is one of our best players on defense. For him to only be out there for one play just doesn't make sense to me. This makes me think a trade is definitely in the works which I don't understand at all. You saw what happened to Claibiourne in the Ravens game what if it happens again only it's worse and he misses significant time than what? If Jenkins is gone we'd have to start Scandrick and we don't want that.

Ha! I remember posting it in the chat room that Jenkins had left the game..

But nobody commented on it later on twitter, so I'm not sure if I can find it.

You guys know how twitter is..

That still assumes Scandrick is higher on the depth chart than Jenkins. Scandrick played plenty.

Other than injury or a possible trade, there is no other reason for him not to be out there. It wasn't as if Carr and Claiborne were lighting it up. In fact, Claiborne was getting toasted a lot in my opinion. Even on the INT he was beaten but the ball was badly underthrown due to Brent pressure. Carr hasn't done squat all year.

From what I've seen, I'd rotate the three players and try to keep them fresh. If Jenkins isn't our best CB right now, he isn't far behind Carr and Claiborne.

Eric Frampton was playing safety in the 2nd half. Surely, Jenkins at CB and Carr at Safety is better than Frampton at Safety.

Jenkins played 1/2 the Tampa game, and played very, very well. That was the game Carr saw extended time at Safety and they gave up <100 yards passing before the garbage time final drive. Something is going on, whether it's Jenkins's attitude, an undisclosed injury or a trade in the works. Because there's no other reason not to play him.

You want your best CB playing CB, not playing Safety if you are serviceable at Safety.
