Since none of us thought we would be able to draft Mike Jenkins I'm sure a lot of you didn't read his scouting reports. Ill list a few sites of his reports.

"Has played cornerback and safety. Used in many roles and coverages at USF. Sees the field well and has good recognition skills."
"Naturally athletic. Fluid. Moves well and is agile. Gets in and out of breaks. Has top notch short quicks."
"Good, but not great speed. Doesn't have track speed, but plays fast and doesn't take false steps. Can run with most receivers. Good recovery speed. Doesn't play from behind."
Comes up well to make contact. Gets off blocks well and isn't run off by receivers. Will make plays from the ground at times, but has shown the ability to run the alley and hit. Ball Skills:Plays the ball very well. Sees the play happening and has the quickness to attack. Footwork is shaky sometimes.
Jenkins surprised many scouts with a phenomenal senior season at USF. His skills as a true cover man, especially in cover one, make him the most intriguing senior cornerback available in the April lottery. Jenkins has the look of a future Pro Bowl player.
Best Case - Al Harris Green Bay
Worst Case - Antrell Rolle Arizona

"3. MIKE JENKINS, South Florida (5-10, 195, 4.40, 1) - Intercepted six passes (6.8), forced five fumbles and broke up 41 passes in 48 games (40 starts). "I equate him to Eric Allen, the five-time Pro Bowler," one scout said. "Just the style of play. I think people read Jenkins the wrong way. He's kind of a loner, in a good way." Criticized by one scout as "having a little prima donna in him. Not the toughest guy. Is he the guy I would want as my locker mate? Probably not." Scored 16 on the Wonderlic. Was suspended in '07 after being arrested for his part in an on-campus disturbance. "But he's not a bad kid at all," a third scout said. "Only reason he didn't go to a major university was because his mom had really bad diabetes and he didn't want to leave her so he stayed at home. Also raised his nephew when his sister couldn't take care of him." Played in a zone scheme. "If he comes to play he'll be the best player out of all of them," Fisher said. "His issue will be in his own mind."
