Mike Jenkins?

Im sorry havent been around much for the preseason but I noticed it said Olando Skandrick statred at nickle back. Is something up with Mike Jenkins? Did he see any playing time?

I tried to tell yall Scandrick was better than Jenkins and he was going to start over Jenkins. LOL

Naw all jokes aside i don't think Jenkins is the ideal slot corner. Maybe that is why.

Calvin Watkins: They both played, Scandrick was put in the game first because he covers wide receivers in the slot and Jenkins doesn't. That happened pretty quick on Sunday.

Truthfully, it's not always a good thing for a cornerback's name to be called.

So the fact that we didn't hear Jenkins name doesn't mean he didn't perform. It almost sounds like he did, especially if he wasn't credited for any catches.

I realize Scandrick was challenged a bit more, so that's why his name was called.

I agree just the fact that this unit held Anderson to under 200 passing (114 yards) to be exact says a lot about the play of the defense and the secondary

Nah. I was poking fun at him because i recall him saying Scandrick was better than Jenkins in preseason. I told him to wait until week 1 started before he judged the two and so far by default Jenkins played better.

But it doesn't matter anyway because they are both better than Reeves and Jones.

I really don't care who gets more playing time or who is better.

Im just glad we have depth at the CB position this year.

Jenkins must of played a good game in coverage because i didn't hear his name.

Scandrick had some decent plays but a couple where he showed his inexperience but he didn't get torched or abused.

So im real encouraged about our secondary in the years to come

I noticed several plays where Dallas should of had coverage sacks. Anderson ran around and couldn't find anybody to throw to.
It was an impressive performance by the new look secondary. Glad to see Scandrick step up and show what he can do.
Would of liked to see the defense get a few more sacks with the great coverage from the secondary. That was the only thing disappointing in the whole thing to me.

Jenkins is the backup to Henry, Pacman is the backup to Newman. But scandrick is our backup slot corner. Which is why we saw him first. It didn't help that he gave up a few catches, and was called for a couple of stupid penalties.

I'm reporting what i saw, and why we heard his name. I never said he played bad. He gave up a few catches, and made a stupid penalty. Truth hurts oh well.

Jenkins came in to take up Henry's spot on the Dime packages, while Henry took up the slot.
