How stupid would it have been to have cut him last week?

That's like the silliest notion I've heard of in a while. Make a stupid snap decision to cut a young, probowl caliber cornerback based on one play rather than put in a week of coaching to get across to the kid.

Well, he made no game changing plays but I think he vindicated himself a little bit by making a great tackle that forced a fumble and by sticking his head in the pile to get himself injured.

Ironic or poetic? Maybe both.

Hopefully the injury doesn't cause him to start making more business decisions.

Those who were suggesting cutting Jenkins are ********.

However, I'm not gonna give Jenkins extra praise for being in on a tackle like he should be.

I give him credit for being more physical this week.

Having said that, I think he maxed out his tackle quota and called it a day.

Same thread next week for Buehler?

not likely, I'm sorry but he's a horrible kicker and if he's no longer a weapon in the field position game by getting touch backs there is NO reason for him to be here.

Jenkins stuck his head in there and caused a fumble...credit where some credit is due.....

but give credit to McCann.....earned some more pt and some confidence from the coaches

Me either, but I will praise a guy for his effort and Mike Jenkins played his *** off today. A complete 180 from what he was doing last week.

Ehh...but what did we expect? After that horrible game in which he was getting called out by everyone last week and especially after the HC that drafted him was FIRED and Jerry put everyone on notice...did anyone really expect him to come out and lay another egg?

It was a good effort for him but it was expected. We'll see where he is (and the other players who have given poor effort) in the next month and if he can still bring it.

Inconsistent kicker versus probowl CB? Do you really need me to answer that question?

Make no mistake, Jenkins is inconsistent too.

Benched his JR in College. Gangbusters his SR year. Roughish rookie year. Pro Bowl 2nd year. Awful this year.

We have an inconsistent Kicker. We also have a CB who's been inconsistent for years.

Players pull up on tackles every game. Atoine Winfield just did it today, although nobody will notice that.

We'll see if he continues sticking his head in their making tackles the next time the Cowboys are getting pasted. He has no problem showing effort when the Cowboys are winning it's when they're losing and their butts are being handed them that he tends to make these so called "business decisions."

i never wanted him cut, by any means, but i certainly don't want to see him giving so little effort, like he did last week, ever again.

I never wanted him to be cut. He's not the only player that wasn't giving his best in past games.

Weren't you one of the silly people who wanted him cut? I can't see how anyone won't admit that that's a stupid, knee-jerk move?

Once again, 1st round CB with probowl caliber talent against 6th round kicker????

That is my concern with Jenkins and several more. They have quit before and it makes you wonder if they will quit again. There has been too many business decisions that I hope don`t get repeated.

The guy flat out quit a week ago. Probably a few guys in the locker room who would have had no problem cutting him.

Yeah, a few idiots who would never be paid to make decisions. If Newman goes down we would've been playing defense with Mccann, Scandrick and Ball as our CBs with Danny Mccray as our FS:rolleyes:

Why don't you go ahead and locate a post where I said cut Jenkins?

I'll wait.
