I feel we really need a true Mike LB. One who can see and diagnose offensive formations quickly, and get the right defensive adjustment calls instantly. With Overshown coming back from the acl, and being on the weak side, we need to also address Sam LB, due to Clark not being that guy I can see at that position.

I know the price was high, can't recall specifics, but Roquan Smith was someone I thought would have solidified that position. Regardless of who is here next year as far as coaches, we need a true MLB here. We can't have these tweener safeties trying to fill in there, especially on early downs.

If we don't sign an alpha MLB this off-season just hang it up. And if they try to pass off micah switching back to lb as the upgrade......hang it up. And no rookie will be that guy either. Either sign devin White or trade for someone.

Trotter, Jr., Eichenberg (Ohio St.), and Colson (UM) for that mold. Add Jaylan Ford (UT) to that mix as well. The draft reports I read on all 4 site “strong instincts to diagnose the run”…all I need to see. Trotter, Jr. is a Nick Bolton clone.

Need someone bigger, smarter and athletically agile. Someone who processes quickly and reacts properly. While we are at it might as well get two of these if the option presents itself.

We have one in Micah. He needs to stop with pass rushing stats and become an hybrid middle linebacker pass rusher.

It's our biggest defensive need. I actually would like to move Parsons to the mike and add another big linebacker to the starting group as well as addressing the DE position.

Find another inside linebacker to team with Damone Clark. Make Micah Parsons and DeMarvion Overshown outside LB's and switch to a 3-4.

Micah as a MLB means nothing if he's not the leader of the defense. Otherwise he's just a one dimensional Blitzer that will bite on any playaction looking for splash plays.

At some point, Roquan Smith, Fred Warner, Bobby Wagner, etc… were ALL promising rookies that elevated their defense and went on to be All-Pro players. So, being a rookie is NOT a deterrent if you can actually play and contribute positively.

If a rookie is drafted at MLB amd plays with a demeanor jaire Alexander showed vs us then we have something. If it's just another guy that wants to play football. Meh

I don't think it's folks saying it will save them. However, you get a rookie that helps right away and for the future. You aren't fixing the problems in one year but you have to start somewhere to begin fixing the issue
