From an entertainment angle alone, I can't think of a better coach than Mike Leach.

He doesn't want to hear from "your fat little girlfriend."

that was the funniest thing I have ever heard Mike Leach say....that was epic.

however, there arent many fat little girlfriends in Lubbock, as they do have quite a few hotties........but they are all a bunch of drunk little girlfriends....I have yet to ever meat someone from Tech who didnt have a drinking issue. Of course if I was stuck on Lubbock, I would be a stone cold alcoholic, myself.

He's a piece of work.

What makes it even better is most of the time, he's not even trying to be funny.

He's become quite a disciplinarian in recent years, especially when it comes to academics. A year or so ago, when he found out one of his starters was skipping study hall, Leach got a desk and chair, put it at midfield of Jones Stadium on a cold, wintery day, and made the player do his homework there.

He's so off-the-wall and unorthodox in his ideas and the way he does things that sometimes I think that overshadows just what a good coach and judge of talent he is. He knows he can't compete with Texas and Oklahoma when it comes to recruiting players, and Tech rarely even goes after some of the blue chip guys. They find guys that are often overlooked that fit what they want to do, some of whom aren't even highly recruited.

Regarding the A&M game, the Tech players actually took A&M lightly. That's how far the Aggies have fallen in this "rivalry." Tech has beaten them so consistently in recent years that they've started to overlook them. Amazing.

And Biggems, when your going to insult a school at least get your own lame grammar right when you do. You don't "meat" someone from a school, and you would be stuck IN Lubbock, not ON it.

I love watching Colt McCoy roll out the excuses everytime he has a poor performance. After the Oklahoma game the first words out of his mouth are "Well you know I have been sick all week, couldn't talk blah blah blah."

as far as in and on goes....i type fast and the i and o are next to one another on the keyboard.....isnt the first time i have made the mistake, wont be the last. i often type just a sex when i mean to type just a sec. that happens when you are typing and watching TV at the same time.

As far as the Colt thing goes...who cares what he says. I dont. If he was sick or not, doesnt matter. The fact remains, Texas won the game. I dont care if he went 0-30 and had 5 ints, as long as Texas beats OU.

BTW, I wasnt necessarily bashing TT, as much as I was bashing Lubbock for being out in BFE, with pretty much nothing to do but get plastered on a nightly basis.

its good that he is buckling down on education. being an intellectual man, himself, it makes sense that he would expect his players to do well in their studies.
