The start of football games is upon us and this weekend features the Hall of Fame Game between the Washington Commanders and the Indy Colts.

A FEW RULES FOR PRE SEASON GAME WATCHING

Now, don’t forget to make sure know the level of comp in the game-who is playing against who.

Always find who is the personal protector on the second punt team—he has a good chance to make the team-third and fourth string

Study who is on ALL the kicking teams and know who makes tackles in that area…

This weekend, the games are about players, not schemes. Players should not make many mental mistakes—if they do, they are not going to make the team…

Have a computer near your TV. If a player makes a play, search his background and study how he got to the team.

Players that jump off sides are either tired or not concentrating.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN THE GAME..

Don’t judge the Colts as a team-cause their team won’t be playing. Judge left tackle Tony Ugoh and see he has gotten any better and can handle the second team defensive ends of the Skins—he better.

How does Charles Johnson handle the starting role as the new right guard?

How does Mike Pollack play?

How does Fred Davis block in pass protection and the running game?

What does the Skins back-up offensive lineman look? Can they block the back-up DL of the Colts.

How does the DS of the Skins tackle?

Personal protector is the position that Coakley played on that fake punt a few years ago, isn't it? Who played that position for Dallas last year?

Why the hell would I want to do that? I am sorry to those who do but what the heck am I going to do with that information? I wish I had the spare time to even consider this.

Flozell heard what you said (just barely) and he is offended by it.
