as our OC, does any one else like this idea? im pleased w/ the idea cuz he will DEFENATLY open the game up unlike a certain OC that we have...cough cough payton cough cough....any thoughs?

no way BP would go along with Martz as a OC, BP loves balance, and Martz loves to pass only

I thought of this the other day, but I just don't think him and Parcells would agree in their offensive philosophies. Martz wants to throw on just about every single down, and what Parcells' wants the most is to be able to control the game and time of posession, as he stated today in his press conference.

Just my thoughts.

NO NO NO He will want to be a HC or nothing he has a big ego problem.

There isn't anything I can see to suggest he would be successful with the Cowboys.

Was he pass-happy when OC under Vermeil?

I thought that only happened when he became HC.

THAT offense was STOUT for a good couple of three years.

But he aint coming here... I dont think...

It would be nice to have an OC like Martz but I can see him and Parcells getting along or Martz accepting an assistants position.

Reports are that Martz still has the serious heart valve ailment and if the antibiotics dont help, he could be out again next season.

Oil and water is putting in mildly. Martz is the antiparcells.
Martz= throw it down the field score quick, score often, and send the defense out there and hope for the best while the offense rests. If you are far enough ahead, you don't have to worry about the fourth quarter.
Parcells = Grind it out, slowly and methodically with an occasional deep pass to keep opposing defenses honest. Work the clock, work the offense slowly, wear down opposing defenses while his defense rests. Play to win in the fourth quarter.

If he goes anywhere other than St. Louis, then I could see him going to Detroit.

Martz only was pass happy because that is personnel dictated it...Marshall Faulk was the best receiving RB in the NFL and he had 3 great WR. Now they like to pound the football, because the personnel is more suited for that. BUt, all that being said, he would NOT work with BP IMHO.

BP is the most consistent coach we've had -- he makes decisions in certain ways, works with certain types of players and coaches -- why does everyone all of a sudden expect a complete change of course?

Dan Hennings is just about the only veteran offensive coordinator that we'd bring in -- and he's not going to be available any time soon.

If the Rams included Orlando Pace and Isaac Bruce I guess I'd be interested but short of that no. Martz would have Bledsoe on a cart in a month with his style and our OL.
