I'll be honest, I would love this pick, but I don't like this mock. Color me shocked if Cooper went as high as #7. Just tons of picks I don't think will happen.

I could be proven wrong, but Star is a top five pick and I can't envision him falling out of the top ten unless the medical concerns are real and teams disagree with his cardiologist.

18. Cowboys choose Star Lotulelei

I would be happy with that.

It's funny, I've seen him go 2nd overall in several Mocks. Ya never know.

That is almost a dream scenario.

I really can't imagine Star being there for us, but a lot has happened in the last few days to make me think several desirable targets could fall further than many of us thought..

All these mocks are meaningless because remember how many trades were in the top 20 last year. Good luck getting the top 20 picks right. Kind of sad for scouts/experts to spend all year "mocking" the drafts and then its blown up within 30 minutes of it starting.

Much better chance to get the round 2 and 3 projections right that they do Thursday night/Fri morning

A few years ago Mel Kyper got every single first round pick wrong. It's easy to miss after 10 or so picks, but he missed from 1 to 32.

Although I don't see it playing out like this.
I just reviewed each of his picks and none are way out of line. He has no player going in the top 18 (not referring to when they go) that clearly does not belong there.
Just can't see Star slipping through the cracks without some sort of trade up to get him.

Interesting scenario. If Star falls that far and we get him and he pans out as advertised we get a DL staple for years. But as for this year what do you do with him?

You can't line him up with Ware, Ratliff and Hatcher because then you are paying Spencer to be a $10 million dollar linebacker and negate the reason for paying him in the first place.
