126 -- Cowboys -- Akwasi Owusu-Ansah

Back to back small-school kids, I love it. Ansah is one of my favorite developmental prospects in the draft from IUP. He's a 6-1, 207 pound corner that run a sub-4.4 40 at the Ohio St. Pro Day. He may be raw, but he will provide immediate help on the Cowboys' special teams. He had 7 return TDs and can be a gunner and a jammer as well. If he struggles on the corner, he's big enough and physical enough to play free safety, and I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the plan for the Cowboys.

This draft is more about quality then quantity. Unlike last year. We are deep enough where we don't need many players, just good players.

one of the very best athletes in the draft.
he has elite potential.

4.32, 21 reps at 225 even though his shoulder needed surgery, 45+" vert.
over 6 foot and 207 or so.

this kid is a beast.

replaces hurd as the gunner imho.
replaces watkins as backup FS.

Ran a 4.32 at the Combine...official.

Junior year: 8 interceptions

Senior year: 5 TD's on special teams...3 punt returns and 2 ko returns

Questions: against inferior talent in a small conference; and he just had shoulder surgery late in the season after an injury.

My thoughts: perfect CB talent who is destined to be our FS at some point.

6.25' 205 lbs

I think they will look to play him at FS. He can do KR in the meantime.

The first comment to my wife today day was.....after Oakland took Campbell, I hope Dallas goes ahead and gets Ansah. Nice pick and expands special teams as well. You can't argue with top end speed, and coming from a 'small' school, and seeing Hall of Famers from my school as well, I like the pick a lot. The kid will be directed and a worker.

4.32? Holy !@#$.........that's Deion fast......

No. Deion is faster. There is only one Deion Sanders. Rest are just impostors.

Dash is right...Dez on punts while he interns (briefly) at WR and Ansah for KR duties while he interns the whole season at FS.....good plan.

I think he will be the KR and Dez will handle punts imo.
I dunno. After watching that highlight reel, this guy has a knack for returns.
