No doubt it was a very questionable decision based upon the field position, but the hurry up play call should have worked, the whole world thinking Zeke up the gut, just poor execution.

More than a yard maybe so but inches if you are not going to QB sneak it then I still think you got to go with Zeke in that situation.

Should have called a time out to look at it. Lamb knew he had it. A critical point in the game thinking about giving the ball up. But if I went for it I am handing to Elliot. Or a direct snap to Elliot. Lol. Didn’t that pass play look like the 4th down pass they threw to Brown earlier in the season. Was thrown behind him but he made a good snag..

One of the few times the Cowboys were in a hurry up Sunday night was when we needed our HC to challenge a bad call on the field. No, hurrying into a failed 4th down attempt that turned it over to the Eagles in Cowboys territory was his priority.

He may run a good practice, but he is not known as a great in game coach. Think about this, how would MM look right now if we lost Dan Quinn last offseason.

The MVP of the Cowboys(Micah Parsons), has stated he LOVES Dan Quinn and wants to play for him for the rest of his career.

Would you keep MM over DQ if you had to make a choice between them?
Fat mike would be gone. He is a block head and stupid as the days are long.

I would remove the Landry statue in favor of one for McCarthy.

Some of these decisions reek of Jerry Jones. I'm not convinced that Mccarthy even has autonomy during a game.

Yes, McCarthy should have challenged the spot on the field in 1st Q Sunday night and he has had some questionable lapses in judgment on the sidelines. All coaches experience this.

Dan Quinn is probably gone next year. He just may end up in Denver. That's how the NFL coaching system works. I would be a little surprised to hear Dan Quinn was not interested in a HC job. It has nothing to do with McCarthy and I think McCarthy is a better HC anyway. Parsons will follow the money, he is not going to follow a coach.

For all the fans I hear wanting Sean Payton to replace McCarthy; it's pretty obvious not many of them have looked at the 2 coaches almost identical records in the NFL. Both making their hay with elite QBs. McCarthy has done an amazing job with the Cowboys this year. To keep them in the thick of the NFCE race without their QB1 and starting LT is a phenomenal accomplishment. The team is dialed in and plays with confidence.

The love for DQ as a HC is a careful what you wish for proposition. I think he is best suited as a DC and if that is what he wants out of life, he will always have a place in Frisco with Jerry.

I didn't have an issue with going for it on 4th down, but I had an issue with the play call. just line up, play smash mouth football and get one dang yard.

I think you are over thinking this.
I still say it was Moore that called the hurry up, therefore not giving anyone time to look at any replays.

That sequence alone was not why Dallas lost. Even if they got the 1st down, they still had to go like 60 plus yards to get a TD. And the way it was going, they still could have ended up punting.

Turnovers lose games. MM not stopping the offense to challenge that play was equivalent to a turnover.

There is no way of knowing how the game plays out if Dallas has a 1st down vs Philadelphia having a 1st down at the same place. The ripple effect and momentum are tricking things. The HC needs to be a net positive in his role of game management on the sidelines. MM was a net negative.

The big Blue M&M and Dairy Quinn can be replaced. Jerry Dumbo GM Jones has fired or got rid of 3 Hall of Fame Head Coaches (Landry, Johnson, Parcells) so their departures are inevitable. This is the NFL (Not for Long) and Money will dictate where Parson will end his career...see Demarcus Ware.

The occasional bad game management decision is one thing. It's been pretty consistently bad with him during his time here though. That's my biggest knock on Mike.
