Mike is such a slick cat. He convinced the Joneses to let him compete for lawrence. Not to sign him, but to auction him off for a load of picks. They will sign Dak and grab 3 1st round picks for Lawrence to rebuild this defense.

Meh...:jets have him in the bag, we blew it wining two games

That onside kick is going to be the difference.

Although I dont see the Jets winning even once.

We would win a tiebreaker w just about anyone because the strength of schedule in a poor division.

I don’t know... Jets hung in there with the Bills yesterday. It’s possible that they win one against Miami and Patriots later in the season... and if they win those 2, we will be locked in for the first pick because they would have won 2 divisional games.

also, we gave to watch out for the Jags. If we get (at the very least) the 2nd pick, we can trade it away for multiple picks and draft a S, DT, LB, CB, OL, and maybe another DT or S

Cowboys have a lot of competition for that 1st round pick right now. They need to get in line.

That may be the end result but believe it will be the consequence of poor defensive coaching, inadequate mix of defensive personnel, untimely offensive personnel injuries, inconsistently effective offensive play calling and average special teams play.

Not sure if McCarthy is that much of an evil mastermind to have pulled all that together lol. I think it is likely he is as surprised by the current turn of events as the Joneses, although he should have been more aware of any negative impact associated with recommending Nolan for defensive coordinator given his track record.

we have no shot at Lawrence.are people even looking at the standings?

I didn’t say we have no shot but it’s pretty unlikely the cowboys win zero games And the jets win two games....there’s a chance but the jets are two games and possibly three ahead of us towards the worst record

I think a top five pick is pretty likely though

for sure, but I also think we have a shot at one or two more wins too.... I do think we are on path for a top 5 for sure.

And yes I agree I would trade those top picks and get as many top 64 picks as physically possible

If they have ever did something that stupid I would never watch another game.

This is the remaining schedule for the Jets. They aren’t winning two to three games. Ironically the two best chances for wins are against the Pats. Bellichick isn’t getting swept by the Jets. Lawrence will likely be suiting up for the Jets. It would be awesome to trade out of this pick because we would truly get a windfall in picks considering the gifts Lawrence brings to the table but it’s a pipe dream. Not happening.

lol against who? We couldn’t even put up a TD against the lowly “Football Team”. Giants look better than their record shows. They still suck, but they’re no cakewalk. Then we have the Steelers, Vikes, Eagles (twice), 49ers, Ravens, Cinncy, Giants one more time and Washington one more time. We aren’t winning any more games pal.

The jets should win a couple. It's not like they are getting blown out every single week. They at least have a competent defense, which could win a couple games if the offense plays decent.

Everyone thought miami was destined to go 0-16 last year but turned it around. And they were getting destroyed every week early in the season.

Some teams may trade up for the 2nd pick too. The 2nd pick isn’t a shrub pick either. Colts, Bears, Jags, among other teams will be willing to trade up for Fields as well.

you never know in the nfl, plus what if week 17 were the only one playing starters.....I don’t think 1 or 2 wins is out of the question

Oh yeah trade picks for a bunch of B Level Talent who will be gone after 4 years instead of choosing a player who could possibly change the outcome of the franchise over the next decade and a half. Brilliant plan.

We aren’t getting the first pick

Jets, Falcons and Jags will likely get 2 of the first 3 picks
