He's full of crap. Let's take a step back before Prescott got injured. We had the number one offense and it couldn't be stopped. We scored at will, and had to to over come the awful and pathetic defense. So, McCarthy is washed up, but only the defense has quit? No, the defense is garbage and so are the majority of the practice squad players whining anonymously.

He's right but our owner is 80 years old so we're not getting a rebuild. Enjoy years and years of more of the same.

People get hung up on the R word (rebuild). Smart NFL teams are reconstructed every year.

The problem in Dallas is the same two clowns have been unsuccessfully reconstructing for over 20 years.

But they'll get it right next year.

The Cowboys are obviously a team in disarray. Who's to blame for that is up for grabs. Is it the owner who isn't accountable for his failures as a GM, or the players who also aren't being accountable for their poor play? Is it some of both? Take your pick, if it suits you. Are the present conditions suited to this team being at its best or is it unfair to make these kinds of judgments so soon?

It seems there's plenty of blame to go around. Should Jerry hold it against Jane Slater, the reporter or is he simply taking it out on someone else for doing her job? Is Mike McCarthy and his assistants really guilty of not doing their jobs or is it the actually players fault for not respecting their superiors? Isn't it difficult to determine for certain for those on the outside looking in? H-m-m. o_O

If you're hanging your hat on the offense here is the problem. Kellen Moore runs the offense and calls the plays. That was part of the deal.

So if we measure McCarthy on everything else he's a failure. But he's Jerry's failure. Jerry loves guys who are so desperate for a head coaching gig that they will agree to his every whim. Unfortunately, Jerry's whims tend to be ridiculous because he's a grandpa who thinks he's a "football guy", despite evidence to the contrary.

I'm not buying that. McCarty is an offensive minded HC, but is a failure because the defense is historically bad. Like he's just standing there letting Moore run the show.

His defenses were putrid in Green Bay as well, might as well just promote Moore then. He said something publicly a week or 2 ago about he has to be careful not to step on Moore's toes. I took that to mean it is Moore's offense and he he's not providing too much input if any.

My opinion is all

What on earth are you talking about? The offense would start slow and go through entire quarters without any positive gains and turn the ball over. Claiming it's #1 based on them having to throw it 50+ times is meaningless.

Yeah. Time to bring in the great Lincoln Riley. Go full arena league. It’ll be great watching those 55-52 games when our QB throws for 600 yards and loses.

True, just like the pre injury Dak team was doing.
Big 12, Arena, XFL...

All those defensive juggernaut leagues.

Cowboys were already on their way.

Yours is a valid interpretation of that but I didn't take it that way. If you recall the whole interview he said a big part of the reason he took this job was the opportunity to work with Moore. He admired that the offense did from afar. And why not? It was #1 in yards and I believe #3 in scoring in the kid's first year. There was every reason to believe it would continue to get better this year and going forward. McCarthy has been around football long enough that he knows good offense when he sees it. He also is secure enough that he can sit back and enjoy what he's getting as well stepping in when he sees something off kilter. But the fact remains that the offense we're running is Moore's more than it is McCarthy's so it's silly to expect McCarthy to call the plays. Hell he may not even know the play being called without looking at his play sheet half the time. But if he looks at his sheet and doesn't like the call it's obviously within his power to veto it.

Buy whatever you want. McCarthy isn't the problem. Garrett wasn't the problem. Wade wasn't the problem.

How many changes do some of you need to see the big picture?
