“We haven’t seen much of Connor McGovern since he was drafted by the Cowboys in the third round last year. McCarthy said he likes what he’s seeing from McGovern and that the guard is making progress and “just needs to stay the course.” He did say that coming off injury and with a new staff with no preseason meant he had to learn some new things but that he is getting comfortable now.”

I hope this means that like Biadasz (in the same boat), McGovern is now in the mix for playing time.

You know Guard and Tackle are different positions, right?

And they should be.

I really like Looney and CW but their ceilings are looking like solid depth and not functional starter.

Kinda reminds me of David Arkin, remember him? Guy who was always touted as a young guy with ability but just couldnt get on the field and everyone had different theories as to why that was. Turned out he just couldnt play...Hoping McGovern isnt in that same boat.
