I expect all 3 to be gone.....

Big changes are coming if the Cowboys can't pull things together in a hurry.

As we hit that 1/3 mark of the NFL season, the contenders are beginning to separate themselves and stand out amongst the crowd. Something else that has stood out from the crowd (like a sore thumb) are those on the Dallas Cowboys who probably won’t be back for another go next season.

These players (and potentially coaches) haven’t exactly lived up to their end of the bargain. So, Jerry Jones and company will have some tough decisions to make, especially if the team doesn’t improve over the long haul.

3. Ezekiel Elliott
2. Brandin Cooks
1. Mike McCarthy

He and Dak have a good relationship. Team is still playing for him. Jerry will just hire somebody worse.

Zeke & Brandin aren't exactly surprising. McCarthy is more of a possibility than a probability.

How do we even know McCarthy wants to come back?

His contract ends after the season and if he ends up disappointing a lot of the fans and sports media by actually taking the Cowboys to a NFC championship game, why shouldn't he entertain any additional offers around the NFL? It's already been established by Jones that loyalty only applies to family.

It cuts both ways. I would have thought that the Jones's had learned this by now.

Zeke and the world knows his one-year contract is an audition for opportunities by any interested team next year.

Doubtful that Zeke is going to wake up one morning this season with newfound, youthful vigor and run off a streak of 100 yard games. Even if he does, he has the same options that McCarthy has should he experience such a renascence.

Ditto Brandin Cooks whose contract also expires this season.

This article comes to some pretty obvious conclusions and is basically a list of expired contracts by older players with anticipated diminished skills.

these are oddball stories and I'm not going to read the link,

I just find it just wrong timing I mean we're in the middle of a fight not even in the middle of the season yet before our bye week lots of injuries, but a lot to look forward to in my opinion IE a tight race inthe nfc with 12 games left..

3) I don't think Ezekiel elliott's downfall is his own if he was here just to be the red zone short yardage and blocker and occasionally got a couple extra carries and maybe handled the rock 10 * a game he'd be more effective he's complaining right now to the management and upper office according to story yesterday and not in a bad way he wants to know why he's not getting more snaps if they're not gonna use them they need to sit him down and I realize he and hunter have very similar skill sets now and they might be a waste being activated in the same games so maybe it's time to bring up dalvin cook after the buy but I don't think Ezekiel elliott's issues are his own he had a specific role and when he didn't even get the ball which by the way Rico fumble remember last year hey what's it the lions game or the Miami game that hunter fumble the snap at the goal line literally Ezekiel Elliott was brought in to do that and he don't even get enough opportunitys.. So either sit him or give him a few more opportunities.

2) I think Brandon cooks was never right this year I think he got hurt and didn't tell anybody thought it would just heal on its own which I remember a fall in training camp like late in training camp where he lived off then they said he was OK I don't think he's ever been OK I think post surgery getting his feet back under him being demoted to the number 3 but still playing enough quality snaps is gonna help this team..

1) Mike McCarthy is not on a hot seat right now everyone thought he would have his team quit on him given the start to the season all the injuries they keep predicting losses I mean can we let the guy finish the season before we worry about is he gonna be gone or not and who's replacing him because there's way too many stories about who is next guy up here is gonna be and like some mentioned you know it could be worse I mean how many times have The Jets and teams like The Jets and the Browns constantly switching out their head coaches their GM's and or their quarterbacks and whatnot and they're not getting any better a decade of basically flatline where they have some hope and then they're right back where they were...

So be careful on getting rid of a coach that one has found a way to at least coexist with Jerry Jones and bring us the last three seasons prior to this 136 wins two division titles and three straight playoff appearances and you trade him for what?

Apparently you all don't think it could get worse but you just want something different and I find that amusing at times I'm not saying I'm fighting for him to stay and I'd be upset if he was gone I said that at the end of last year it might have been time for a change especially when Dan Quinn actually left he didn't get fired he left it would have been fine to run it all back with the coaching staff but then I was on the fence keep him or get rid of him..

But now we have to keep that in the back of our minds it could get far worse here we could end up with the dave campo years all over again... I would say Garrett but at least Jason Garrett had some winning seasons and he he may have been here too long but it could be that too we can end up hiring the next Jerry guy and they waste all these new contracts that just got signed.

So, can we actually allow the man to finish coaching and these players to finish the season before we're etching their names into their headstones?.

Well, that won't happen so there's no need to worry about it.

McCarthy is likely already dad man walking and just doesn't know it yet.

He should have been fired after GB.
How is it that you think you know it but he don't know it you don't think he's been in his business long enough to know what coming down the road if he doesn't finish strong? Pretty sure man who's been in this NFL I don't know 30 years I have no idea how far he goes back as an assistant has far more of a feel for his future than you do anybody on here does.. He's on a one year deal he knows it and if he finishes strong then maybe he stays you never know Jerry...

He could simply just give him a new deal I don't have a surprise no matter how he finishes we don't know anything that's running around in Jerry's head...

Wilson and Hooker have been garbage. They need to play Thomas
actually hooker is fine,

he's solid he's what he's always been he's not a ball hawk but he's in position a lot, they don't test him a lot but but when he's supposed to come help he's typically there...

I don't know what you think you're seeing or you wanna see but everyone's not a Pro Bowl player, but I do agree that Wilson overruns plays trying to get the big hit he plays too much hero ball. he's a liability for the last few weeks and I would like to see Thomas get some reps there... I'm not sure how many more back end covering free safety types like we have in ****** we have on this team I think belle Thomas and Wilson are all more box safeties that can cover a little bit...Hooker is more of a center fielder and I don't think we have guys on this team that can do that any better...

Zeke n Cooks are actually progress stoppers right now.
Not really I think cooks has been injured since training camp... I think whatever he did on one fall I remember where he limped off he may have tore his meniscus slightly tried to play through it didn't tell anybody it got worse he got surgery now and now he's got an infection but I think when he comes back he'll be more of himself I don't think he's been full speed since day one...

However, we get to see another week October and Turpin and whenever Brandin cooks gets back doesn't necessarily he's a progress stopper you can move him to #3 and reduce his snaps and maybe he'll be better for it...

And I'm going to need a bigger sample size of Turpin and tolbert against the lions and against San Francisco I don't know when cooks is supposed to be back but you're going to have to show me more than spot duty play here and there..
