One thing to keep in mind, is for all his years in GBay he had Rodgers, who is a elite QB.
Starting in 2009 he was in playoffs for 9 straight seasons, which on the surface is pretty good,
but he always lost the big games except for the 2010 season.

The last 3 years have been losing seasons with 7 wins being the best he could do .
So it is hard to evaluate, but I have my doubts on him being a good HC once in the playoffs.
The last nfc champ game he was in was after beating dallas he lost big to Atlanta, dont remember that game, but the one after beating dallas in 2014 he lost to seattle in a game GB dominated, and even then
I thought he did a poor coaching job. GB should have won that game.

In summary From 2010 to 2016 he had Rodgers, but could never even get back to a SB much less win one.
I cant help but wonder how he would have fared with a lesser QB, something we saw last year with BB,

Why spend so much energy on crapping on the HC? Why not spend the energy and think of something positive?

I think his playoff record is fine

You can't have a winning playoff record without winning at least 2 games in each postseason..the botched onside kick vs Seattle, which was nothing but pure luck, really puts a hurting on his overall record

If you choose to determine how BigMac stacks up against the coaches it would seem the best determiner would be to compare his record vs all the coaches in the time frame he has been in the league. Likely someone has already done the work and answered that question.

BigMac, being no exception to coaching, is only as good as the team around him.
At the (proverbial) end of the day, teams are evaluated, ranked, and win or lose by what they do on the field.
Coaches come and go......except Belichick.

Look at the list of NFL.com's most complete teams. (The Cowboys are not among the top 5.)
The coaches? Barely mentioned.

@DandyDon52 One could look at the playoff records and say McCarthy is a bad HC or one could say Rodgers is a bad playoff QB. How much is on Rodgers and how much is on the HC?

Some posters even look to the GM for blame.

Same with Brady and Belichick. Who gets credit and who gets blame? Who gets the blame for those two SB losses?

Even a little which came first - chicken or egg question? Belichick came first and taught Brady everything. Or Brady came first and made Belichick look good.

Andy Reid lucks into Mahomes and finally wins the big game.

Didn’t his losing seasons in GB come when AR was injured for most of the seasons. Just as all the injuries last season.

Is the ranking done in some sort of scientific manner? Or is it a list some guy made to drive clicks to his articles?

I'll leave that for you to decide. It wasn't easy to find though. The article I read only talked about the Browns being the #1 team on the list. Then I had to search and read several more articles promising a list of the top five and only talking about the Browns as #1 until I finally stumbled over it.

It may get more play later, or tomorrow, when the BS artists see it, but for now its not widely circulated.

I saw the list. Seems like it’s a list put together to get people to talk and in those situations you either put Dallas at the top or the bottom. The Cowboys have been a 500 team for the past 25 or so years. So in my opinion any list that doesn’t put them there is not worth the time of day because they aren’t being objective.

I don't know what the past 25 years have to do with ranking the top teams of 2021, but okay.

Why spend so much energy on crapping on the HC? Why not spend the energy and think of something positive?
Yep! Instead of being excited and hopeful, some choose to be miserable and hateful.....I don't get it........

Your first sentence best sums it up. Said that since his being hired. Career won/loss record based off riding the coat tails of a first ballot HOF QB. Career team playoff defenses absolutely putrid.
Most likely warming the seat for Jerry's Garrett part II coach in training by the name of Moore.

Another in Jerry's long list of puppets.

Ironic part is that Rodgers has continued to lose the big games and MM is over in Dallas. Last year was a perfect example.

Big Mac earned a Superbowl championship as a HC. Garrett didn't.
JG didnt have Rogers, or a real GM.
Ironically, Rodgers was a big factor in knocking JG out of playoffs in his 2 best years.
Even with MM on sidelines, would Dallas had lost to GB if they had any other QB? (aside from Brady or now mahomes)
If Dallas gets by GB they would probably have beat Seattle who they had already beat once in Seattle.

In big games against good teams, the QB play matters more, and the coaching by HC,OC,DC matter a lot.
