Well Jerry is gonna have awhile to think about hiring a big softie as a head coach. Wade is quick to remind 13-3, well 4 now.

It's Phillips responsibilty to have that team fired up and focused on the task at hand, which he didn't do yesterday in the playoffs. I'm not saying he should be fired but I will say I'd take Singletary over him.

Where has he ever been a HC ? How much experience does he have as even an DC ? How well have the respective defenses of those teams fared ?

He is still virtually unproven in my eyes. Yes, he was a great MLB 20+ years ago and a pretty good LBs coach these days. No, he is not ready to be a HC for the Dallas Cowboys. Maybe 10 years was a stretch, but I doubt it will be this year unless he takes the crappy Falcons job.

The team was definitely fired up yesterday. Focus is a totally different issue. They played with a complete lack of discipline I hadn't seen in awhile.

It would have taken us several years to contend, because the 3-4 D would have been thrown out. Singletary played in a 4-3 and I believe he would have gone back to that. Our personnel are not built for the 4-3 at this point.

Singletary made his name while playing in the 4-6 with the Bears. However he also played the 4-3 and some 3-4.
