Mike Tannenbaum rips Cowboys on Micah negotiations

The players aren't the problem .........you draft players praying/hopping they will reach elite/ALL-PRO status. When they do. you pay the piper. It's always been that way. It's on the team, coaches, GM and owner to translate that elite status into Super Bowls or consistent postseason return. Let's put it another way..........what happens when the drafted replacement players from picks rec'd from trading all our ALL-PROs become ALL-PROs in 3-4 years? Start the cycle over again coz we don't wanna pay them?
BTW....as a few have mentioned.....we are seeing the same issue/problems before your Daks, Lamb and Parsons were here.
2 of the 4 players I mentioned are not worth their contracts.

The piper was paid without deserving it.

That’s the problem.

Jerry is dumb.

Jerry deserves the criticism. $6 million for Dak and $6 million for Micah. It adds up. This is why we can't win a Super Bowl. Jerry has no idea what he is doing from one day to the next. Now we have to rely on Micah's good will to sign him for a more reasonable number. But why should Micah take less than he can get when Dak took more than he deserved?

I have no doubt in my mind.

Jerry had deals with Lamb and Dak already done last season.

The way they acted on social media when Jerry would make his "no urgency" or comments about Dak to which Dak responded "I stopped listening to what Jerry says to the media comment" and Lamb laughing on twitter at the no urgency comment leads me to believe that deals were already in place but Jerry didnt make them official to increase screen time and clicks via the media.

Dak and Lamb knew their deals were done, but just played a part. Its all an act at this circus.
yes. a circus called the Cowboys!!! absolutely

Dak also said it was about winning and not money, but that too was just talk
Yup. They are both mouthy weak players. Loudmouth is all quiet now while all these deals are getting done. Why doesn't he demand a trade? I think if people are honest with themselves they know why he won't.

Yeah it's silly to drag it out thinking you're gaining leverage by waiting. I get that there are probably other internal conversations you're having with guys that aren't under contract but they're trying to save pennies while waiting and those pennies turn into dollars.

Especially when Micah was ready to sign at any moment. This is just further proof they don't care. If Jerry was any slower with this, he'd be going backwards.

Mouth almighty already said he doesn't need to be highest paid so what does Garrett's contract have to do with the him?
raises the highest paid, so even if he's not still costs considerably more. pretty straight forward.

Fans: "Dak, Micah, and Ceedee, all a waste of money, all bums."

Those same fans: "Trade Micah for picks so we can get more good players."

Am I the only one that sees the issue there?

I don't think too many here think Cee Dee or Micah are bums.

Yes. You arent able to read posts.

But dont be too worried. Its a common problem these days with all this a-social media crap going on.

Cowboys constantly have these high contracts because they wait way too long to sign key players. I knew this was going to happen, welo it is what it is.
